Kings & Queens of Comedy - Durban Valentine's Day Edition


When you fall in love, your body experiences a rush of hormones to the brain. The same can be said when you laugh! This Valentines Day, why not give yourself a double dose of the happies when the annual Kings & Queens of Comedy presented by East Coast Radio kicks off its season with a steamy Valentines Edition at the Durban ICC on the 14th of February 2020.


Kings & Queens of Comedy has always been about celebrating the best in South African comedy and this royal-line up features a bevy of fan favourites taking center stage including Darren Maule, Mo Vawda, Neil Green, Nik Rabinowitz, Ndumiso Lindi, Rob van Buuren, Rory Petzer, Thenjiwe Moseley and Tumi Morake, as well as some brand new faces to the KNQ stage whom include, Dillan Oliphant, Ebenheazer Dibakwane, Mojak Lehoko and Prins.

Celebrating eight years of Kings & Queens of Comedy, Blu Blood created the brand in 2012 in Johannesburg and it has since grown to be one of the leading comedy brands in South Africa, promoting and showcasing local talent from around the country. The comedy heavy weights have shined their comical armour and sharpened their witty swords and are ready to take hilarity to the next level. KNQ Comedy Giveway



Durban will erupt to the sound of laughter on the evening of the 16th of February as some of the  countries top comedians take to the stage at Durban's ICC for a one night only comedy special. Back again is East Coast Radio Kings and Queens of Comedy show, featuring the likes of Darren Maule, Carvin Goldstone, Schalk Bezuidenhout, Angel Campy, Tumi Morake, Riaad Moosa, Mo Vawda, Chester Missing and many more. Tickets are currently on sale at Computicket and start from R200.

Kings & Queens of Comedy Durban 2019!


One of SA's longest standing comedy tour is back to bring a night of royal laughter, yes that's right, Kings and Queens of Comedy returns to Durban in 2019 and as always, has a host of SA's funniest on stage comics to keep you in hysterics all night long. Taking place at Durban's ICC on the 16th of February, you can look forward to some of SA's comedy giants which include Angel Campy, Carvin Goldstone, Muthu Murugan, Ndumiso Linidi, Riaad Moosa, Schalk Bezuidenhout, Tumi Morake and SA's favourite ventriloquist, Conrad Koch and Chester Missing. MC for the night is everyone favourite radio DJ, Darren Maule.  There will also be some new faces joining the Kings and Queens of Comedy family, Thenjiwe Mosely, Mo Vawda and Lindy Johnson. While they maybe new to the franchise they're aren't new to the comedy scene. 


In now its 7th year running, the Kings and Queens of Comedy brought you by Blu Blood started off in Johannesburg in 2012 and now has grown to be one of the leading comedy brands in South Africa, promoting and showcasing local talent from around the country. Kings & Queens of Comedy - Durban 2018


It's no secret that Durban loves its comedy, with most stand-up comedy shows being sellouts, the people just crave more. With this in mind, organizers of the popular Kings and Queens of Comedy show have got big news for Durban comedy lovers in 2018. With Durban being one the biggest audiences for the comedy brand, they have now extended the line up, with next years being the biggest in six years to ever grace the show! Audiences will be glad to know that most of their favourites will be returning to the stage for this one night only comedy festival along with some popular new ones as well. The show takes place on the 9th of February 2018 and tickets are on sale via Computicket. 


Shining their comical armour and sharpening their witty swords, the stellar line-up includes Darren Maule (MC), Annalakshmi, Arnotte Payne, Celeste Ntuli, Donvan Goliath, Glen Biederman-Pam, Jason Goliath, Joey Rasdien, Khanyisa Banu, Leeandra Reddy, Logie Naidoo, Marc Lottering, Riaad Moosa, Rory Petzer, Sagie Murugan and Safiso Nene, with a guest appreance by Morgan Beatbox.

A name that locals might be excited to see there is former deputy mayor Logie Naidoo, now retired from the world of politics, Naidoo has chosen comedy as a second career. Politicians often provide comics with plenty of material, which means that Durban's socialite politician, Loganathan (Logie) Naidoo, should have no problem with getting the crowd going by adding an interesting colourful twist to the nights hilarities.


With a line-up like that, the show is bound to be one of the best ones yet, so don't miss the Kings and Queens of Comedy, 9 February 2018 at the Durban ICC. Tickets from R185 and are available through Computicket online and the various retail outlets. The show starts at 8pm and is rated PG16.

If you don't already know, South Africa's biggest comedy franchise is coming to Durban next month. As stated in our post  last week, Durbanites can look forward to some of the best in local comedy at the show when a number of the countries funniest comics take the stage for one night only at the Durban ICC on the 11th of February. In conjuction with Kings and Queens of comedy and the Bucket we giving one lucky ready a set of double tickets to the show!

Kings & Queens of Comedy - Bigger & Funnier than ever!


Durban, get ready to laugh your way into 2017 with some of the best comedians in the country! This February see's the Kings and Queens of comedy franchise return to the East Coast, and it is guaranteed to be a show of hysterical proportions, with a bigger and funnier stellar line up than before. It will be the show to kick off the world tour of the Kings and Queens of Comedy and it all goes down on the 11th of February 2017 and the Durban ICC. 


Taking to the stage with their comical armour and witty swords are Marc Lottering, Tumi Morake, Loyiso Gola, Celeste Ntuli, Leeanda Reddy, Krijay Govender, Schalk Bezuidenhout, Joey Rasdien, Tol AssMo, Khanyisa Bunu and Rory Petzer. Leading the evenings proceedings is Durban's favourite comedian, Darren Maule with a special guest appearance by Morgan Beatbox.

Riaad Moosa & Friends - Durban


The holiday season is almost upon us and what better way to kick things off than with some laughter? Riaad Moosa and Friends features one of SA's most accomplished stand up comics along with some of South Africa's most favourite comedians who take to the stage for one night only at the Durban ICC. Join them as they take laughter to the next level on Saturday the 10th of December.


The show will be hosted by the Good Doctor Riaad Moosa, who will be returning to the stage in Durban for the first time in two years. He will be joined by a hilarious ensemble of fellow friends including Darren Maule, Simmi Areff, Yaaseen Barnes, Jason Goliath, Neil Green and the leading lady of comedy, Tumi Morake. 


With this great line up for SA comedy giants, it is guaranteed to be a show of hysterical proportions and one that is definitely not to be missed! Durban loves it's comedy and it's great that we are getting a show of this caliber to feed our appetite for the stand up show case.

Kings & Queens of Comedy - Durban


The Kings and Queens of comedy are back by popular demand to tour Durban after a very successful time out last year. The royal line up is sure to have the crowd in fits of laughter dor their one night only show on the 12th of February at Durban's ICC. 


In association with East Coast Radio and BluBlood, this years show see's 12 of South Africa's finest stand up comics being featured. You host for the evening is none other that ECR breakfast presenter and all round funny man Darren Maule, representing the Kings are Carvin Goldstone, Dillan Oliphant, Kagiso Lediga, Muthu Murugan, Rory Petzer and Yaaseen Barnes. 


In the Queens court are Angel Campy, Celeste Ntuli, Krijay Govender and Tumi Morake. With a stellar line up as such, it's bound to be even evening of hysterics, what a perfect way to kick off Valentines Day weekend.
