In what is dubbed to be the biggest M Festival in the world, this weekend see's BMW South Africa take over the famed Kyalami Circuit in Johannesburg to bring to you their 3rd official Festival dedicated to their M Performance models in what is their 50th year. This years event is sure be a show stopper of note with a world premier taking place at the track of the new BMW M2 being present. Other stand out M Models include the all-new BMW XM V8 Hybrid performance SUV and the new BMW M4 CSL which only 15 units will be coming to South Africa, all of which are rumored to be already sold out.
The Re-Edition of the Legend, that is the CSL is a power house version of the M4 which is powered by the same 3.0-litre 6-cylinder TwinPower Turbo motor that amps the kW output from the regular model to 405kW with 650Nm of torque but what makes this car extra special is the weight reduction, that has it shed 100kg's compared to the normal model!
Also making an appearance at M Fest 2022 is the all-new BMW XM Performance SUV, powered by a Hybrid V8 motor that produces a combined power output of 480kW from both motors. This edgy futuristic design has gotten a lot of attention since its global unveiling and is bound to be a show stopper at this weekends festival.
Fresh off the press is the new BMW M2 which was introduced this week on Wednesday, while its styling controversial, you could be one of the first people in the world to see the latest and probably one of the most important M Models around. Sporting a flat mono-type kidney grille, a wider front mimicing the DTM cars, a carbon fibre roof, that famed 3.0-litre TwinTurbo motor that delivers 380kW and 550Nm of torque. This highly anticipated model is available in both an 8-speed automatic and 6-speed manual. Other attractions for M Fest 2022 include all the other current M Models, some track ready performance cars as well as being driven around the famous Kyalmi circuit by the experienced BMW trained drivers, showing you what the cars can actually do.
