With Summer on the way, making things hot up around the country, we decided to heat things up on the blog as well. On the Bucket Babe for this month, we feature local model who is a budding adventure junkie and has a passion for medical science, it's a unique combination but that is what makes her so great! Currently studying her second degree and hoping to specialise thereafter, she also finds time in her busy schedule to train and occasionally get behind the camera and for that we are greateful. While she might not be great in the kitchen, she does share the same passion for cars and motor sport as us so we'll ignore that part, and settle to have popcorn everyday. Well that's enough blabbing from me, meet...

BIO
Hi there! My name is Kelly Roux, I am a bubbly, fun-loving, adventure-seeking young woman who loves to keep fit, healthy and constantly on-the-go. I am hard working, fiery with a zest for life and a true Aries nature. I am currently a student at WITS, completing my second degree in Medicine (with my first degree being a BHSc Bio-kinetics), as well as being a part-time published model (when time allows!). I absolutely love keeping active, so you'll find me in the gym most days of the week, or when I have a gap, going for a quick walk with my dogs or run around the block. I also love hiking and the outdoors, so count me on any outdoor related activity! I also love anything car and motor sport related, so when I'm not studying, modelling or running around doing some or another physically exertive activity, you;ll most likely find me at a car event.
My goals for the future career wise is to specialize after I complete my degree, possibly into (and don't laugh since they're vastly different) either Plastic Surgery or Neurosurgery. As different as they are, they each have their own unique attractions and interests to them, so we will see what the future holds in store for me (once I eventually finish studying!) I can't wait to be able to help so many people, and hopefully change so many lives for the better. Being a doctor has been my dream since I was 12 years old, and I feel incredibly blessed to be given the opportunity to become one. I'm actually such a nerd at heart, but I love it.
Accomplishments: I achieved the Sportswoman of the Year award in school, competing at Provincial and First Team varsity hockey; graduated with 8 distinctions in matic and Cum Laude in my first degree, being on the Dean's list as well as part of The Golden Key International Honour Society. I am so blessed to be a brand ambassador for Online Supplement Store, Tammy Taylor Nails Petervale, Adele Peacock Nails and Marc Dryden-Schofield Exclusive Models. God has really blessed me in life, and I really owe it to Him for all that I have accomplished.

Q&A
1. Hot girls and hot cars go hand in hand, what ride would you like to see yourself in?
- Phew! There are so many cars on my list to be honest (BMW M3, Mclaren, Nissan GTR, the works), but at the end of the day, my ultimate goal is to buy myself a Bentley Continental GT, in either pearl white or satin black.
2. What sandwich are you most likely to make for me? and will it be toasted or plain?
- I'll be honest, I'm not too good in the kitchen, so it's probably safer for you to make your own sandwich (equality right?), otherwise instead of toasted or plain it might just be burnt!
3. Everyone loves popcorn (well I think they do) what is your topping/ sprinkle of choice?
- I loooove popcorn, I swear I have it almost every day (no lies). I would have to say Cream Cheese and Chives. Mmmm.
4. Dream cover shoot?
- It would either be Women's Health Magazine, Vogue (I wish) and GQ to name a few off the top of my head.
5. If given a choice, full time model or full time executive, what would you choose?
- I would choose full time executive. As much as I love modelling, I need to keep my mind constantly stimulated and challenged otherwise I end up getting bored and frustrated. As much as I've been blessed with modelling, I've never viewed it as my ultimate end career choice. I definitely think the two can go hand-in-hand (if not, why not?), so I intend to carry on with my modelling throughout my career if I can.the goal.
6. Growing up you must have had someone you aspired to be, so who is your role model?
- I've had many different role models at many stages of my life, each being a role model for different aspects , but I would say that for the majority of my life I've always looked up to my mom for staying true to herself no matter what, for always being so fun-loving, adventurous, confident and sure of herself. She's taught me many important lessons about respect, forgiveness and love for yourself and for others, and those are the values I try and uphold every day.
7. Anyone holding that hand yet? or is it available?
- This little hand of mine is happily held by a bigger hand, sorry gents.
8. Obviously being a female you would love fashion. Favourite label/ designer?
- I actually giggled when I saw this question and wondered how I was going to answer it because fashion isn't actually a huge aspect of my life, if I were to be honest with you. I think my sportiness shines through in what I tend to wear, and I don't really mind where it's from, or who the designer is (if it's even designer at all), as long as it fits me well and looks relatively good. I probably should care more about it, but that's just me!.
9. What type of music gets your booty shaking?
