Monday Choon: Sunny Lax - By My Side

 

Hungarian trance music and progressive house producer come DJ Sunny Lax has been busy experimenting with his latest EP "Ruby". He says its a fusion of the old and new Sunny Lax, which is a showcase of the artistic freedom that he always wanted to reach, where he is able to explore new genres, unusual sounds, arrangements and sometimes darker vibes than usual. After hearing today's featured track, "By My Side", I can tell you with full confidence that the 36 year old is on the money with this one. He says its his way of being a story teller through his music and it encapsulates what he says about the EP in general brilliantly. The song featured is the extended mix but once the song starts you will immediately get gripped by its melodic symphony and the vocals. It's an amazing track and one that has received a good few plays by me in the car, so hope you enjoy it too! 

Monday Choon: Sunny Lax - Night Sky

 

Hungarian Trance and Progressive House Music producer Sunny Lax is our featured artist of the week with his latest work, "Night Sky". If you are a fan to the weekly podcast Group Therapy by Above & Beyond then you would have head this one get plenty of air-play in the past month an were itching for the release like me. It's been two-weeks since Anjunabeats released the track and judging by the streams, it's definitely a banger of note and we're loving the original as well as all the remixes of it so far. While today's feature was a toss-up between the original and the Eighty Six Remix, I had to settle on the original thanks to that banging bassline. 

Monday Choon: Myon featuring Nikol Apatini - Ghost Town

 

It's no secret I'm a big fan of Hungarian DJ and Producer Myon and while his work with Alissa Feudo always is always added to my playlist, this time round there's another vocalist that's equally as great as Alissa on his work. Ghost Town is his first track in over a year, featuring the vocals of Nikol Apatini, this track is vintage Myon. Just like the name suggest, "Ghost Town" has a haunting undertone with a steady bassline line and build up. The soothing vocals just elevate the track to another level, the drop is accentuated by the added melodies and eerie background chimes. It's another great track from Myon who has more work due to release this year, if its anything like this we are in for a treat!

 

Monday Choon: Sunny Lax & EL Waves - Stay (Club Mix)

A song when it was first released hit home to me quite hard, been a fan of it ever since and I'm glad as I proceeded for my morning run today, that this Club Mix of the track was the first play on ABGT391 because there's nothing like some great trance music to get the endorphins going to get you through a 5km run. Sunny Lax, the Hungarian progressive and trance DJ has been enjoying the success of his recently released album, End of Our Time, Stay which features El Waves was a pretty mellow track but with lots of significance and meaning, it's been given the club mix treatment and it's everything I expected and more. The track still retains its soulfulness but with the right amount of beats to be enjoyed in a club environment. Released last week, so its still fresh off the press, scroll down and take a listen to it.
