Monday Choon: Jaytech - Nebula (Friday Afternoon Club Remix)

We normally try to mix it up when it comes to our featured songs every week, if there's a trance song one week, we select a dance or techno song the next from a completely different artist with a completely different sound but we cannot get over just how good Jaytech's Next Level EP is and we decided we just had to feature one more song from it and it had to be his Friday Afternoon Club Remix of his track Nebula. It's groovy, its soulful and what we like is how easy it is to get into it. From the sultry vocals to the deep bass, synths, beats and riffs. It's a like concoction of music bliss. Give it a listen and tell me you don't like it because I know you will be lying.

Monday Choon: Thomas Nan x Andrew Allen - Did I Ever

Dutch producer Thomas Nan describes his sounds as being inspired by the funky music and grooves from the 80s which he's sculpted into a 21st century unique sound. He's not wrong as much of his music is centered around the 80s types beat and not to mention they're all pretty groovy. This weeks featured track see's him team up with Canadian vocalist Andrew Allen in their track "Did I Ever", its everything Thomas describes his music as and more with a great up tempo beat which catches you from the first drop as the track has a steady build up but once you get into it, you'll find yourself hitting repeat as you want to listen to the track again. Thomas just dropped this track in time for ADE on Nicky Romero's protocol records label and its gone down with much hype, so turn up your volume for this one.

Monday Choon: Clean Bandit, Julia Michaels - I Miss You (Kryder Remix)

Remix's for me can go one of two ways, really good or really bad, there is no in-between especially when the track you're remixing is already good. I've heard my fair share of terrible remixes over the years and often wondered what the hell were these guys thinking, and some were down by respectable artist in the industry. Now, enough with the complaining, as you can gather today's featured song is a remix, and it's of the track "I Miss You" by Clean Bandit featuring Julia Michaels. The song on its own is a great track, but I stumbled upon the Kryder Remix last week and ever since have got it on repeat. It's simply brilliant, from the build-ups, to the underlying beat, the speed-up of the tempo really gets you into the track. It gets you going in stages and that for me is ultimately what remixes should do. From the fades to the added electro backdrop beat, this song has hit the nail on the head for me and I'm ready to put it down as one of the remixes of the year.
