Monday Choon: Martin Garrix & Sem Vox feat. Jaimes - Gravity

This weekend saw the Amsterdam Music Festival take place, a yearly event that attracts the best that the Netherlands has to offer in terms of electronic dance music. On Saturday at the main stage saw the reveal of this years number 1 DJ as voted by the fans in the DJ Mag Top 100 and it was a local which had the crowd present in raptures, it was none other than Martin Garrix, today's featured artist. It's his 5th time reaching the top of the charts and it's well deserved as he's been churning out some great music for us to listen to and his live sets are so well orchestrated, full of energy and just a pleasure to watch unfold. Last year at ADE Martin played a 3 hour set, this just goes to show his commitment and love for what he does. Today we feature his latest track "Gravity" in which he teams up with Sem Vox and Jaimes. It's a typical Martin Garrix track with high symphonic notes,  heartfelt vocals and a melody that will enchant you.

Monday Choon: Thomas Nan x Andrew Allen - Did I Ever

Dutch producer Thomas Nan describes his sounds as being inspired by the funky music and grooves from the 80s which he's sculpted into a 21st century unique sound. He's not wrong as much of his music is centered around the 80s types beat and not to mention they're all pretty groovy. This weeks featured track see's him team up with Canadian vocalist Andrew Allen in their track "Did I Ever", its everything Thomas describes his music as and more with a great up tempo beat which catches you from the first drop as the track has a steady build up but once you get into it, you'll find yourself hitting repeat as you want to listen to the track again. Thomas just dropped this track in time for ADE on Nicky Romero's protocol records label and its gone down with much hype, so turn up your volume for this one.

Monday Choon: Martin Garrix - Poison

There's no stopping this kid, hit after hit, he keeps them coming. His latest single Poison was released for free at the end of October and still till now it's one of the most requested songs on most of the shows and podcasts He played the song live at an outside broadcast of the MTV EMA's this year and it continued success on his tours and at ADE. It would have been nice to see the Dutch DJ'ing sensation for a 3rd time at Ultra next year but maybe it's time for a solo tour from him to the country.

Monday Choon: Martin Garrix - Animals

There is a massive craze for this song and it has received hours of airplay so far, deservedly so! What makes it even more crazy is that the artist behind the song is only 17 years old! Yes Martin Garrix, the youngster from Amsterdam in the Netherlands who is responsible for one of the hottest songs for the summer was born in 1996! The success he has achieved from his debut track 'Animals' is nothing short of immense and a little while back at ADE he was invited by the master himself Tiesto to play along side him on stage. This kid has a big and bright future ahead of him if he keeps producing stuff like this, I hope he doesn't take a turn into commercialism like some other young DJ *cough* Avicii *cough*
