Ultra SA 2017 - Phase 2 Line up

If you missed it earlier this week, Ultra South Africa released their phase 2 line up for the much anticipated event next year. Following on the announcement from a couple months ago of the two major headliners of Martin Garrix and David Guetta, this week organisers lifted the lid on the full line up that will grace the main stage of Ultra South Africa 2017. International superstars Dash Berlin, KSHMR and DJ Snake will join David Guetta and Martin Garrix on the main stage with support from the likes of Black Coffee, Felix Jaehn, Headhunterz and Nic Fanciulli round out the highly anticipated Phase Two lineup for UltraSA 2017.

Dash Berlin returns for a second year running, being one of my favourite DJ's from this years Ultra, I'm glad to see his name on the lineup again. This Dutch trance veteran has been contributing to the international scene for over a decade. He's worked with icons such as Justin Timberlake, Usher, N.E.R.D and Lenny Kravitz to name just a few. His performance at Ultra SA 2016 blew the crowd away, so expect Dash to bring the Energy levels to a peak at Ultra in February next year!

Niles Hollowell-Dhar, better known as KSHMR (pronounced Kashmir)was awarded "The Highest New Entry" on DJ Mag's Top 100 list and has since moved up 11 places this year to the No. 12 spot. His music is a mixture of high energy electro and classical Indian which he fuses to make a unique and high tempo beat. KSHMR has played at almost every major festival so it's great to see the American producer make his way to South Africa and get the crowds going to his live act, which will take them to a whole new level.

DJ Snake needs no introduction to the South African crowds, while this will be his first visit to the country, the French DJ and record producer's music has been quite popular around the country for a few years now. His last major chart climber "In the middle" is still played on some local radio stations and his recent collaborations with megastars such as Justin Bieber and Major Lazer just escalated his cult status. Crowds can look forward to him play a range of his unreleased future hits at Ultra South Africa as well.

The support line is also one that is worth a mention and also one which I am quite looking forward to. Headhunterz have been on the scene for a while now and have featured on many podcasts of leading trance and dance shows. His his name is William Rebergen and hails from the Netherlands, his hard hitting energetic sets is what makes him so special and crowds can expect a lot from him. Next up, Felix Jaehn, the prodigal German tropical house DJ and producer that went number 1 in 20 countries with his remix of OMI's cheerleader will bring a summer sound to SA that will surely get the girls dancing and the boys smiling.

Lovers of a deeper sound will be glad to know that the Resistance stage is back! After the success of this years Ultra, it was a no brainer for the organiser and the line up is going to be equally hot has Main Stage. First up we have Nic Fanciulli, he needs little introduction after completing a truly successful Resistance world tour in 2016 with Ultra Worldwide. Anyone who watching him on the Resistance stages around the world or was at the legendary Space Ibiza closing party will know exactly how good this British DJ and producer is at getting a dance floor going long into the night.  Join him on the Resistance stage is none other that South Africa's own Black Coffee, undoubtedly one of the biggest exports to the world from the SA dance scene, you can catch him again as he lights up the night with his beats next year.

The local support act line up is pretty insane as well with some big name DJ's on the list.

Timo ODV - Pascal & Pearce - DJ Fresh - Euphonik - Crazy White Boy - P.H - DJ Milkshake - DJ Shimza - Vigilante - DJ Dimplez - Kyle Watson - Strange Loving - Mark Stent - Ryan Murgatroyd - Vimo - Chunda Munki - Kyle Cassim - Yeti - Dean Fuel - Household Funk - Saubomb - Ricardo Da Costa with more to be announced closer to February 2017.
