We kicking off the new year with some fresh music from artist that we never thought would join forces, two weeks after Anyma dropped a teaser of his new track with Ellie Goulding who had a cameo appearance at his residency set at the Sphere in Las Vegas, the track has been released! Why can't more DJ's release tracks this fast after dropping teasers? The track titled "Hypnotized" has since racked up over half a million views on YouTube and counting. Ellie is no strange to EDM having collaborating with Calvin Harris in the past, speaking to Rolling Stone Magazine, Ellie had this to say about her latest work, "Collaborating on ‘Hypnotized’ with Anyma has been an incredibly enriching and wildly exciting ride,” the pop star tells Rolling Stone. “He is a creative visionary with an unmatched ability to marry sound and visual art in a way no one else can."
There seems to be no stopping Tiesto, the Dutch Trance music legend just celebrated his 750th episode of his weekly podcast "Clublife" last week and just a week before that dropped his latest single "Don't Be Shy" featuring Karol G. The 52 year old who also became a father for the first time in the past year seems to be loving life at the moment with much of the US clubs and festivals slowly opening up, he has a lot planned for the rest of the year. This track takes on a bit of different style and has similar sounds to what was used in his London Sessions album but with a more pop sound to it. The track has a catchy bassline and backtrack but has that unmistakably Tiesto sound to it. The music video is brilliant as well, themed around the movie Night at the Museum, really gives you a experience on its own.

It's been a while since we last featured the Dutch maestro on the blog, it just goes to show the new talent that is making its way onto the circuit. Tiesto is back though, with his new song featuring Bright Sparks "On My Way". The song has been out for a while now with him dropping it just towards the end of last year and getting loads of play earlier this year. The official music video dropped last month and is pretty cool as it features fans from around the world who were selected to join the legend for his birthday at Hakkasan in Las Vegas. The fans were asked to vlog their journey to Vegas and meeting up with the DJ for his celebrations, its a nice feel good song to get your week going.
It's no secret that I am a big fan of Tiesto, besides his legendary status, I do enjoy the music he produces and he exerts a certain energy that I relate to and enjoy tremendously. In the same breathe, I can tell you I'm a massive fan of John Legend, he's really one of the stand out R&B stars of late and his voice reminds you of that old school sound but with such a great flow that it sends you into a state of calm. With two such talented individuals teaming up, you know the end result is going to be great, this is the first time the two have collaborated in produces a track, but it's not the first time they've worked together as Tiesto's Remix of John's "All of me" was the best selling remix of the track. Summer Night's is just as epic and is bound to be another chart topper and judging by the reaction it got after EDC Las Vegas where John came onto stage during Tiesto's set to sing, it's heading there fast.
According to the latest Forbes chart, he's the highest earning DJ for the past two years now, having performed world over including making regular appearances in Ibiza and Las Vegas it is a wonder where he finds the time to create music in the studio, He's latest work which includes a few tracks with Ellie Goulding, have done well which is easy to see why he is so in demand and making all that cash. His latest offering features American Pop Rock band HAIM. The song was released in February and has been doing pretty well in the charts, it's just recently broken into the SA market and I'm sure it will be another chart topper. If you like me, were a fan of Scandinavian pop group Ace of Base, you will easily take a liking to this song as well since it's of a similar sound and tempo.
