Its Done

John W Henry- Skysports.com

After days that can only be described as "manic" its finally done, as of yesterday 5pm South African time New England Sports Ventures are now the owners of Liverpool Football Club. The deal was concluded at the offices of Slaughters & May in London where John W Henry signed on the dotted line & by doing so paid over all remaining debt owed to RBS & ridding LFC of its negative balance. We can proudly say that our club is 100% debt free.

Obviously one doesn't find £300 million lying in their  back pocket & we are not entirely sure how NESV raised the money but one thing is for sure if the money was loaned out it was not taken under Liverpool FC's name, also note that the English Premier League put the NESV under their new assessment test to see if they were fit enough to own a premiership club which they passed. So if the EPL are happy we can rest assured to be happy as well.

Tom Hicks - Cunt face

Now it wouldn't be Hicks like if he just let the matter slide, not wanting to jump the gun like the other day I didnt want to blog anything until I was 100% sure. So lets go through what transpired, on Thursday we learnt that Mills Financial had purchased the shares of George Gillett & were in the process of buying Tom Hicks stake, but obviously before doing that they had to under go the assessment from the EPL, yesterday morning we learnt that they did approach the EPL in order for them to be asses ed, the EPL rejected this which meant even if they did purchase Hicks stake of the club they wouldn't have been allowed to go through. Also early yesterday morning as Hicks & Mill were awaiting to hear from the EPL with regards to the test, the TRO issued by the Texan court was lifted obviously to allow the deal for Mill to go through, but after failing to under go the test this paved the way for NESV to conclude their deal. After accepting defeat Tom Hicks kept his stance on him wanting to sue LFC & the board for $1.6 billion in damages, Tom... the club is worth £300 million, your team of  "qualified evaluators" claimed the club was worth £823 million, how in gods name do you end up with a figure of $1.6 billion? He keeps referring to this term "epic swindle" & he claims the Martin Broughton & the board were part of an "organised conspiracy" to get rid of him and tarnish his name... again Tom, they didnt need to do that, you already did that before Martin came in. Anyway he has now dropped this damages claim but says he will pursue legal action against the club & RBS because this has "damaged & hurt his family" ... oy fuck face! look what you did to OUR CLUB! RBS have rubbished his comment saying they are willing to fight anything he throws at them, as far as they are concerned they are happy with the deal.

Christian Purslow, John W Henry, Martin Broughton

Getting back to our new owners, Henry made his way up to merseyside to look at his new purchase, understandably he said there was a lot of work needed to be done to get Liverpool FC back at the top, but his words were encouraging "We are here to win" is what he said, it will take time & Roy will need patience but this is no doubt the biggest step forward for the club. Spirits have surely been lifted by this & I have no doubt that the players feel the same way as the fans, infact Jamie Carragher just put pen to paper on a new contract! Henry didnt make too many promises about transfer funds, nor any suggestion for a new stadium but he did say he will work with the club to get it back on top where we belong. So to my faith full Liverpool supporters, all I can say hang in there as the worst is over. Lets look forward to the future, Im not going to be coy by saying we will win the EPL title anytime soon but lets just focus on a finish in the top 4. Its going to be tough with us lying in the bottom 3 but nothing is impossible... we all are well aware of that ... 2005.

Hold the phone, what?

So no sooner than a day since my last blog post Victorious which highlighted LFC's victory in the high court against the hill billys, another "official statement" emerged on Liverpool FC's official website. We as fans we expecting to see a statement from the club around that time in any case. Seeing that on that evening that board called in a meeting & Mr John W Henry invited to sit in on behalf of NESV to conclude the sale of the club to the franchise.

John's arse must have hardly warmed the chair that he was seated on before the news broke of Hicks & Gilletts Texan court injunction which prohibits the board from concluding the sale of the club to NESV. LFC have stated that this is unwarranted & have appointed lawyers in Dallas to overturn the injunction. Hicks is also claiming $1.6 billion in damages. What damages? if he wants to claim for damages, we'll damage his face so he has something to claim for!

Broughton is confident that the TRO (temporary restraining order) will be overturned as it holds no substance & looks like it was prepared hastily after yesterdays ruling as it bares little facts. Now its comforting to know that it doesnt hold much but what this does is hampen the sale process & keeps the matter dragging on. Thankfully John Henry has stated today that he is prepared to wait no matter how long it takes. He will be the new owner of Liverpool FC... when ever that will be.

Hicks, all I can say is that you are the biggest cock the world has seen. I havent seen children being so clingy in my life. Why is it so hard for you to understand that we hate you, we hate what you've done to our club, we hate your lies, we hate the mere sight of you! You're doing nothing but drag your name in the horse shit from the high horse we offered you last week. If anything, what you're doing is making your name in the business & sporting world worse. Who is on this god forsaken planet will want to do business with you after this debacle? Just accept defeat & go sit on prairie & chew on some hay.

In the words of your son "Blow me fuck face"

 HOLD THE FUCKING PHONE!

This just in!

Reports are breaking that Tom Hicks & George Gillett have sold their stake in Liverpool FC to Mill Financial,
in turn owned by Springfield Financial who have links with the Washington Redskins American Football team, may be acting on behalf of another, as yet unnamed and unknown group who have put themselves in a position to move in at the 11th hour and take over the club. Therefore he has taken on the debt from RBS & will pay it off! This is just getting too fucking ridiculous for my liking!

Rumors are that Mill has jumped in the last minute to save H&G to clear their debt leaving the door open for Kenny Huang, the Chinese billionaire to come in & buy it off Mill.... Okay now I know I confused you lot but I think this is the story.

Apologies as before I stated Mill Financial was owned by Peter Lim

Just let it go

Its been an interesting 24 hours as a Liverpool fan, besides my blog getting 100 views over night ( I thank you) to Mike Jefferies "Dear Mr Hicks" video going viral on youtube. To breaking news on Liverpools official website. All in all, if you're like me, you're nervous, happy & confused at the same time.

Why? well lets see what transpired. Mike Jefferies, a hollywood producer, like many Liverpool FC fans was tired & frustrated at the strangle hold Tom Hicks & George Gillett had on the club. He made his way from Cape Town to Liverpool, getting peoples views & generally asking them to tell Hicks to "fuck off". This video was finally uploaded last night & went viral instantly with reds from all over commenting & supporting this venture.

Not even an hour after posting the video, an official statement was published on the Liverpool website, stating "The Board of Directors have received two excellent financial offers to buy the Club that would repay all its long-term debt" -  great news right? but then came this part... "Shortly prior to the meeting, the owners - Tom Hicks and George Gillett - sought to remove Managing Director Christian Purslow and Commercial Director Ian Ayre from the Board, seeking to replace them with Mack Hicks and Lori Kay McCutcheon".  Well to explain what this all means, Hicks & Gillett brought in Christian Purslow to help with the clubs finances & to oversee the general dealings of day to day club dealings, he has Ian Ayre with him to help, both of them sit on the board along with Martin Broughton who was brought in essentially to find buyers for the club. The instructions were clear, find new buyers who best suit the club & make sure no part of the money used to purchased Liverpool Football Club has been "borrowed". So the new owners must have their own money invested into the club, not from a friend, or a bank loan. Obviously they must also prove their worth to the club by giving proposals on how to move forward etc... Now in all of this, they found a bid put in by New England Sports Ventures which is owned by John William Henry who also owns the Red Sox baseball team. Now his bid fit well with the 3 men on the board besides the 2 sour pusses, since they didnt stand a chance to profit from the sale.

Im sorry what? You guys think you deserve a profit for selling our club? You guys put us, the fans & the players through the worse years of this club! As from my other post, lies, false promises, lack of spending & now you think you deserve something for ruining a top 4 side & leaving them at the bottom 3!? Do yourselves a favour and quit while you ahead. They put the 3 men (Ayre, Purslow, Broughton) in charge to oversee the sale, the 3 of them have the majority vote so they voted in favour of this new bid, hence the last ditch attempt by Hicks to remove both Ayre & Purslow & put his son in so they could have the majority back. Luckily the board pushed through the sale & accepted the deal from NESV. All thats left to do is it being approved by the Premier League, which Im sure it will seeing that they just want any new owner to purchase the club with money that belongs to them & not borrowed (just like LFC's terms). Though Hicks & Gillett are going to challenge the boards decision seeing as they want to reject any bid unless they are happy with it. So now a legal process with follow with Hicks & Gillett taking on  Broughton, Purslow & Ayre with regards to their decision to sell. In my honest opinion, H & G dont stand a chance, as the only hole they dug was not for the new stadium, but for themselves with regards to out numbering themselves on the board. So they have no say in the matter of the sale. Hopefully the courts will see what is clear as day light to everyone else & agree that the sale was legit so it can send these 2 money grabbing bastards home for good!

As for our soon to be new owner John Henry, I did some reading up on him in the morning, ever so brief but from what Ive seen so far, he looks legit. I know with our past owners being American, it does make us more worried that he is one too, but we cant judge a majority on  two arse faces. He took the Red Sox to new heights, with them winning two world series (what ever the fuck that is) since his reign, that feat that was never done before for the club. He also is hands on with the club but leaves the sport to handle itself. I know in my previous post I asked for someone who knew about football, Im not sure how clued up he is about it, but lets hoping if he doesnt he learns fast! I think he will keep Roy onboard as he hasnt had a chance to prove himself. Rafa had teething problems as well albeit not this bad but maybe if the sale goes through the confidence in the ranks will rise & players will start playing again, fans will start singing again & we'll start winning again! But hey thats just me, Im trying to stay positive. As we getting ever so close to getting something we wanted for so long, which is getting rid of those two.

Lastly, I would like to apologise to Martin Broughton & Christian Purslow, I said in my previous post that they were brought in mainly to give us false hope, but it seems they did want what was best in the club. After beeing told by the owners that they were unhappy with the bid, they forced it through in anycase because they know its whats best for the club & to move forward. Now they will find themselves in court to fight for the course. I wish them well & thank them once again for having the balls to stand up to Hicks & Gillett. Yes Im sure they will receive bonuses from the sale, as would any business its part of how things work. What the figure will be, that Im entirely unsure off but what ever the case is, long as our club is in better hands is what counts the most.

Lets hope by the end of this horrific episode that all things in Anfield will come right, it will take time & there isnt a quick fix for something like this but it can only get better as I feel we already seeing the worse of it. Lets hope its the end of the storm & the golden skies come where we can hear the sweet silver songs of lark.

You'll Never Walk Alone
