Monday Choon: Fatum feat. Mars Atlas - Angels Cry

Grammy nominated American du Bruce Karlsson and Danie Davis, better known by their stage name Fatum have released another track from their Anjunabeats Worldwide 10 mix compilation which was released in May. "Angels Cry" features the vocals of Mars Atlas, someone who has worked before with the duo to produce "Deserve It", another sublime offering from the paring and "Angels Cry" is no different, offering a different sound altogether this time round. Much like the previous track, it all started with a vocal that was sent from Mars, and from there the trio began to work on producing this track of which they say is a "great representation of where we are at musically as Fatum and we couldn't be happier with the outcome". It's a brilliant song, which echoes the essence of trance music with a catchy bumping bassline, electro synths that tie in so beautifully with the vocals that you'll fall in love with it instantly.

Monday Choon: Fatum - Backdraft

Grammy nominated Fatum  are back and kicking off where they left off with high energy electronic sounds. Their latest release, Backdraft was released just over a week ago and has already got a lot of airplay, both on podcasts and live events. They also recently dropped their "The Story So Far" Album which features 40 tracks of releases and remixes from them spanning the past seven years. This too has received great streams since its release. I know most DJ's are over the moon now that festivals are back in action with the two major ones of recent being UMF Miami and Tomorrowland Winter, Fatum are confirmed to play at the Above & Beyond Weekender in London this September, it will be their first time playing in the UK so hopefully we can expect more banging tracks to be released by them in lead up for this event.

Monday Choon: Fatum feat. Mars Atlas - Deserve It

If you're an avid listener to Above and Beyond's weekly podcast Group Therapy, today's track will come as no surprise to you. It was first played at the trio's live set at the Drum Sheds in London for their ABGT450 set and was released about a week ago. "Deserve It" by Grammy nominated duo Fatum and Mars Atlas who wrote the song, is one of those tracks that hits your heart first before your mind, to quote Mars Atlas "Deserve It is one of the most meaningful songs I've ever written. The song was written in a matter of a few minutes one night, in a burst of overwhelming vulnerability at the idea of one day losing my parents." While we're used to Big Stage sound from Fatum, this track is a bit diluted to that sound,  the duo say its a special track for them as it showcases the next evolution in their sound but also shows their versatility in this aspect. In working with Mars, they said the collaboration was very natural and they worked in synergy to put this track out, they're extremely happy with it and hope he fans are too.

Monday Choon: Fatum, Jaytech , Genix & Juddah - We're All In This Together (Above & Beyond Respray)

Sticking with the theme at the moment, which is COVID19, I don't think we can escape it actually but the guys at Above & Beyond have taken probably my favorite song of 2019 and given it a "Respray" as they put it to commemorate all the Essential working staff during this pandemic, mainly the medical sector who have it the worst at the moment, to let them know we're all thinking of them. The song is quite appropriate seeing that everyone has their part to play in fighting this pandemic, whether you're on the frontline or just sitting at home. The British trio of Jono, Pavo and Tony have tweaked the song to give is a more uplifting and somber sound but still hits that message home quite powerfully. The music video features fans, mainly the essential medical staff sending supportive messages and from the general fans giving there's as well. It's quite beautiful and moving, so turn up the volume sit back and enjoy.

Monday Choon: Win And Woo feat. Sara Skinner - Here U R (Fatum Remix)

Chicago based DJ duo Win And Woo get the spotlight this week with their latest offering featuring the vocals of Sara Skinner, the track titled "Here U R" got given to Fatum to remix and boy has he turned a good track into an even better one. The original is more low tempo, deep house track, Fatum added his special trance magic to it, increased the bpm, added more tempo and elevated the track to the uplifting standards we're used to. It's a proper cracker so turn up the volume and let it play, the track is available to download and stream via the various channels via Armada Music.

Fatum, Genix, Jaytech & Judah - All In

There's a saying that "too many cooks, spoil the broth" well I suppose that its a good thing they don't make any broth in the Anjunabeats kitchen, they just cook up damn good music because today's featured track as a host of artist that produced this beaut. Fatum, Genix, Jaytech and Judah collaborated to bring us this celebration of trance music which brings happiness to my ears from the first time I heard it at ASOT 900. Since then it's featured on the ASOT podcasts as well as ABGT but the track dropped officially last week Friday and boy are we glad because it is absolute fire! My only gripe? It's too short but other than that, stella job by these guys and here's to more great music from this impressive colab.
