Monday Choon: Skrillex, Fred again.. & Flowdan - Rumble

 

If you heard the murmurs then its time for you to hear the Rumble! British record producer and DJ Fred Again has teamed up with undoubtedly one of the biggest names in electronic music, Skrillex and have come up with something different but at the same time bangs. Going back to the UK Garage and Trap scene, Rumble which was released a few days ago has already been causing a stir online with it already racking up over a million views in the space of a few days on YouTube. The high energy, high bass track has a trap based rap over the beats with the speedy synth. It's quite a catchy tune and a track that's going to do amazingly well, so don't forget, you heard it hear first. 

Monday Choon: deadmau5 & Lights - When The Summer Dies

Deadmuat5 is back on the blog today with his latest offering featuring Lights in the track titled "When the Summer Dies". The track brings back the iconic Deadmau5 sounds with the deep hard bassline backtrack with high synth overlays, which are pretty catchy and get your head bobbing as soon as it hits. Joel last teamed up with Lights back in 2018 to release the midtempo track "Drama Free", while it wasn't one of the popular tracks in his library the colab proved to be a perfect fit as their skills just syncs well. This single showcases the pop-punk sensibilities, infused with a playful production from Joel. It's a great track, and should prove to be another deadmau5 banger, and thats why it makes our featured track of the week. 

Monday Choon: Rain Man & Krysta Youngs - Habit

The last time I featured Rain Man on the blog was for his track "Bring Back the Summer" featuring Oly. It's been a while but the DJ from Krewella is back! Signed onto Steve Aoki's Dim Mak label, his latest offering features the vocals of Krysta Youngs. The song is a great offering from the trap music genre with high notes, good tempo but not that fast style high tempo stuff we're used to. Judging by the number of time's I've played it over the past few days, it's clearly a favourite of mine. 

Monday Choon: Alan Walker - Sing Me To Sleep (Marshmello Remix)

This remix has been out since early August and has been a firm favourite on my playlist since. Alan Walker originally born in Northampton, England but grew up in Norway shot to stardom with his hit track "Faded" which escalted ever further after Tiesto did a remix of it. His second offering, Sing Me To Sleep turned out to be another great track by the Norwegian DJ. There have been a number of remixes done for it but this one by the mysterious Marshmello remains to be the best I've heard for this particular song. It just ticks all the right boxes for a great remix. He's changed the complexity of the song but still kept it recognisable to the original, adding his only style to it. Give a listen, you won't be disappointed.

Monday Choon: Gorgon City - Go All Night ft. Jennifer Hudson

With just under 18 days till Ultra 2015, we take a look at another international headliner that is going to be gracing our shores and sending the crowds into a sense of ecstasy with their unique style electronic beats and bass lines which brings a mixture of house and trap music. Gorgon City have been on the scene for a while now but have gained global recognition over the past year, mainly through their hit track "used to be real". The British duo out of North London have followed up with that success by releasing other hits with collaborations with some big named artist. Today's featured track is one of them, it has the vocals of Jennifer Hudson and turning out to be another chart success. You can hear this song and many others from Gorgon City live at Ultra SA on the Electric Music Stage.
