Tiesto teams up with Italian brothers Matteo and Amedeo Giovanelli better known by their stage name Mathame to produce his latest track, Everlight. This track is bordering on the trance feels but more on the cinematic type soundtrack which Mathame are best known for. The track is a musical masterpiece with the merges of their two styles which work so well in unison. It harks back to the Tiesto Elements of life style of music and you can picture Tijs busy down on the decks with his headphones on giving the crowd an aural symphony.
Matteo and Amedeo Giovanelli, born in Bergamo, are Italian brothers known professionally as the DJ and production duo Mathame, artists within the cinematic techno genre.
The much-anticipated track “Tantalizing” by Tiësto, featuring Bahamian artist Soaky Siren, is poised to make a big impact. Officially releasing on November 8th and already available for pre-order, the track captures the pulse of Afro House, expanding Tiësto’s range and spotlighting Soaky’s vibrant vocal style. Known for his genre-crossing artistry, Tiësto’s recent dive into Afro House taps into the genre’s rise on the global dance scene, where the rhythmic, percussion-driven Afro House sound has rapidly gained fans worldwide.
If you watched Tiesto's mammoth 4 hour DJ set in New York City last week, you may have caught this track which he played early on. It's by Simulate's rising star TH;EN who has return to the label with his ‘Rakata’ EP. Already having received amazing support and reactions around the world, A-side ‘Rakata’ promises to be a special moment in the Simulate timeline. Rakata features a powerful Spanish vocal along with dynamic synths to give the track a high-energy and driving groove, perfect for the dancefloor. Liverpool based DJ and Producer Massano, dropped the track at the Resistance stage at Ultra Tokyo and it's continuing to be a proper festival jam since. It was officially released 2 weeks ago and we have it featured on the blog today.
I don't think the duo Norwegian brothers KREAM have produced a track I haven't taken a liking too, no seriously, if you're a fan of their Liquid Lab sets, you will know exactly what I'm talking about. The energy they bring to their music is just next level, that gets you hooked in from the start to the end. Their style is unique but unmistakably theirs and theirs only. Their hit track "What You've Done To Me" has been a favourite of mine for a long time and now they've just dropped an exclusive remix of it which they debuted at the Drumsheds. This version has just elevated the track to levels that is dark room festival worthy with a more kick ass bassline and synths. Such a banger to start the week off.
This past weekend saw Vegas play host to its annual Electric Daisy Carnival, the festival has grown in leaps and bounds over the years with it becoming a major festival attracting the biggest names in the industry. With TIESTO being one of the resident DJ's in the city, it only made sense for him to contribute to this years festival by making the official anthem of EDC Las Vegas 2024. Teaming up with duo Prophecy for this one, the track is a typical high energy Tiesto track merging his love for electronic dance and techno. Titled "My City" the song is an ode to the city of the bright lights, Vegas and its sound is true and distinct to the EDC festival. He dropped the track during his set which was streamed live and available to watch on YouTube on his channel, it was a proper set which you need to listen to if you're a fan of the legend.
Tiesto released his track "In My Memory" which featured Nicola Hitchcock just over 12 years ago, the melodic trance track was one of his lesser played tracks but still hit all the right notes. Fast forward to 2023 and Isreali DJ and Producer Maor Levi has given it a fresh new lease of life with his Starlight Remix completely transforming it have an 80's disco groovy vibe to it. It's the perfect track to enjoy our Southern Hemisphere Sunday Sundowners too, with its chilled but vibey beat which has an uplifting note to it.
Italian DJ and producer 7 Skies has finally dropped his banger of a track "Tokyo777" on Amarda Music last week. This track has been teased and dropped a few times on the Armada channel and many, like me couldn't wait till it was officially released. Now, many of you old timers like me would listen to this and remember a very similar sounding track from Tiesto, Flight 643 which was later revived by John Christian but 7 Skies makes no mention of the song being an inspiration to this one but the similarities are uncanny. The track is fast paced, energy track which hits 130bpm so its the perfect kind of song for fast paced raves. The deep heavy bass line ensures that adrenaine keeps flowing from start till the end.
The King of dance is back again, reviving another classic this time the track from Tears For Fears, "Rule The World". Already an iconic anthem of the past, Tiesto collaborated with Niiko X Swae and Gudfella on this one, intricately adding their own special touch to the song. The result, pure electronic dance energy, with them still keeping the focal chorus on point but adding a vibey bassline, some extra synths and melody and upping the BPM ever so much to make a trance type track. It's one that we will be hearing a lot in his upcoming sets and in the clubs as we head into the winter season of the Northern Hemisphere. The track, while not linked to anything in particular, is ideally released during this ongoing conflict in the middle east, which we all want to see stopped as the number of civilian causalities has been nothing short of horrendous.
Tiesto teams up with Italian duo Mathame for his latest release, "Feel Your Ghost", what I love about the Dutch legends work of the past decade is that he isn't scared to experiment like this and more often than not it turns out to be a work of art. While Tiesto has been producing a lot more deep house sounds of late, this track has that old school techno feel with a great energy that just builds up with the vocals and keeps that energy space set for the track. While the beats and synths are the main focus of the track, the vocals for me really make it what it is, even with that catchy bassline every time you hear the vocals kick in, it gives you shivers.
Dutch DJ'ing legend Tiesto dropped his latest single and the first of 2023 titled 'Lay Low'. It's a house track which is not all that uncommon from him and is featured on his latest studio album "Drive" which also features tracks like 10:35 and Hot In It. Tiesto said recently that the album 'Drive' took on a completely new direction with him embracing house music genre more in his production. The track features a deep house sound with melodic undertones and spacey choral vocals. It is a great track from the icon and definitely sets the tone for what we can expect from him going forward this year.
Multi-award winning DJ Tiesto has always been ahead of the game when it comes to innovating himself, from being one of the first DJ's to gain residency in Vegas, to teaming up with brands to produce songs for them. The Dutch legend has now teamed up with the latest luxury resort to open on Dubai's Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis The Royal. The single "10:35" which includes the vocals form Canadian singer/ songwriter Tate McRae, the track is inspired by and encapsulates the essence and energy of Atlantis The Royal which is the latest icon of the Dubai skyline and is said to be the most luxurious resort in the world. Tate, who spent time growing up in the Middle East proved to be the perfect partner for the track, the idea for the track which was filmed on location at the resort, is where day turns to night and that experience shifts, hence "10:35". The owners of the resort as well as the artists are extremely happy with the outcome of the track and it serves to be the perfect advertisement for the place, after watching the video I'm also itching to visit!
Just over a month ago Tiesto dropped 5 brand new tracks which formed part of his latest EP. At first he posted snippets of each track on his Instagram and asked his followers to vote which one he should release first, but later that week he surprised us all by dropping all five at once! All tracks are unique to him and his sounds over the years, with him collaborating with various artists on them. For me personally, this track "I'll Take You High" just struck a chord with me, it was reminiscent to his previous trance style sound, with that heavy bassline line and drop. It brought a smile to my face to see that Tiesto still hasn't forgotten his roots in the EDM industry and still can produce bangers for the electronic world such as this. The flow and rhythm of the track will get you going from the start to the end. While I do enjoy this one, there were two others that I was contemplating to feature as well, all five tracks on the EP are great and well thought, I mean coming from someone of his caliber you wouldn't expect anything less.
There seems to be no stopping Tiesto, the Dutch Trance music legend just celebrated his 750th episode of his weekly podcast "Clublife" last week and just a week before that dropped his latest single "Don't Be Shy" featuring Karol G. The 52 year old who also became a father for the first time in the past year seems to be loving life at the moment with much of the US clubs and festivals slowly opening up, he has a lot planned for the rest of the year. This track takes on a bit of different style and has similar sounds to what was used in his London Sessions album but with a more pop sound to it. The track has a catchy bassline and backtrack but has that unmistakably Tiesto sound to it. The music video is brilliant as well, themed around the movie Night at the Museum, really gives you a experience on its own.
We're back to normal programming this week and as ever on a Monday we bring you the latest in Electronic Dance Music, today we have an interesting collaboration from little known DJ's Leonard A of Mexico and Pavel Koreshkov of Russia. In today's exclusive we have an interview with Leonard just to find out more about himself, his music and how he and Pavel hooked up to provide us with such a great track that is Frozen Dream.
Q & A with Leonard A
1. Who is Leonard A?
- Leonard A is a project that I started about 6 years ago, Leonard derived from my name Leonardo and the 'A' comes from my last name 'Anya'.
2. What inspired you to become a DJ/ Producer?
- I was inspired by many artists but I think that without a doubt the greatest influence was the music and talent of DJ Tiesto. At the time of the 2000s when I was just a teenager, I had his in concert 2 DVD and that was when I began to see how wonderful it was to get people on the dance floor.
3. Being from Mexico, what is the dance music scene like there?
- It is good, to tell the truth I have heard that many of the great DJs love to come to festivals in Mexico because of the reception of the Mexican public. It is difficult for new talents to grow unlike in Europe, but believe me people support when they see that you are good at this.
4. Your track Frozen Dream which we have featured today, you teamed up with Pavel from Russia, how did the two of your work together in producing this track track given the current restrictions the world is under?
- Well one day I received an email in my inbox from Sound Cloud and well it was from Pavel, he showed me his new track just finished and he wanted me to place some of my touches on it, although it changed more than 50% of the original structure but I think we achieved a good result and all this thanks to current technology, being able to send steam through the internet is a great advantage and communication thanks to social networks makes work much easier from your studio.
5. What can we expect next from you?
- I have not decided this year but I am thinking of taking my production to another level, more melodic trance, you know the days ago I was listening to the new album of 'Shingo Nakamura' and I was fascinated by how beautiful it sounds. I want to work on something like that and be able to start releasing some of that in Monstercat Silk. At the moment I have some tracks to finish and I hope to be able to sign them before the end of the year. Several remixes and music with great artists are coming.
The track Frozen Dream is amazing and from the first time I heard it on Andrew Rayel's weekly podcast Find Your Harmony, I was itching for it to be released and now that it has, I just wanted to share it with everyone to enjoy for themselves.
The NERVO twins are back and this time they've joined forces with German based duo Tube and Berger for their latest offering "Lights Down Low". The song which was released last week has already been hitting the charts with a bang, the track is a really hype up kind of feel with a classic 80s disco beat. The sexy house track has a lot of retro elements to the track from the bassline to the syths which gives it that nostalgic feel to it. The up-tempo beat keeps things groovy throughout the track with the vocals just elevating that classic sound. It's definitely a track that will get hopes up on this blue Monday so turn up the volume and enjoy!
Mash-up's are great but what many don't realise the technical aspect behind them, listening to beats, waiting for drops, allowing for the perfect transitions of fusions takes skill and not many have this. It's quite different from remixes as the point of the remix is to alter the original sound of the song while mash-ups are taking two completely different tracks, merging them together and allowing for both of the tracks to play in harmony, not making it sound off or weird. DJ's from Mars have been doing Bootleg mash-ups for a while now and recently dropped todays featured track which includes the hit track "If I Lose Myself" Alesso and One Republic along with the Weeknd's "Save Your Tears". I heard it on Tiesto's Clublife podcast the other week and loved it so much that I just had to feature it on the blog. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
We getting the week going with some dirty bass courtesy French DJ Antoine Delvig. The Electronic House DJ and producer has just released this banger on Tiesto's Musical Freedom records titled "Techno 99" and it's an absolute killer. Mixing his styles of deep house along with electro, incorporating that dirty bass sound, in a mish mash that blends and works so beautifully, there isn't much not to love about this track and its the perfect song to get the adrenalin going at the start of the week. So turn up the volume and enjoy!
With the world being on lockdown for most part of the year, it gave DJ's the time to experiment and work on new music. One of the bigger names in the business has been cracking this year with him releasing remixes and new work including his London sessions album release in May, yip I'm talking about Dutch legend Tiesto who also recently became a father. His track The Business is one of the biggest tracks on social media at the moment with people using the sample for videos on Tik Tok, Instagram and many more social media networks, there's been a number of remixes of the track as well but this one by 220 KID has been our pick of the bunch, it was released a few weeks ago and really keeps the essence of the original but ups the tempo to give it quite a vibey sound.
British DJ Joel Corry's track Head & Heart which was released earlier this year is proving to be quite a popular track in the dance scene and you can't fault it as the beat is pretty catchy and the vocals are on point. Tiesto give the track his own special treatment with a remix and it's simply brilliant, upping the BPM and giving it a more vibey beat. It's taken a great track and made it even better, then again Tiesto is a legend in the industry so you got to trust the guy when it comes to stuff like this. It's also the great track to get us going into December, while everything might not be as festive as we like it, we can still enjoy some good music.
After a very successful release of his London Sessions Album a few months ago, Tiesto is back with some fresh new music, this time mixing it up with progressive house with a mixture of his cult trance sound. Today's featured track "Coffee" see's the Dutch legend team up with Brazilian DJ Vintage Culture and the sound is epic, the track hits all the right notes and has that mellowed out feel to it a perfect note to get the week going.
