Monday Choon: Lucas & Steve - Push The Feeling On

 

Dutch DJ duo Lucas & Steve have revived the legendary track "Push the Feeling on". The original track which was released in 1995 by the Nightcrawlers became a cult classic in the clubs and has been remixed by many, but this is the first time it has been redone and after having a listen to it a few times, Lucas & Steve have done a great job by bringing up to the modern sounds of today but retaining the main framework of the song that made it great. Monday Choon: Lucas & Steve x Blackstreet - No Diggity

 

The 1996 classic track by Blackstreet "No Diggity" has been given a new lease of life thanks to Dutch DJ duo Lucas & Steve. Teaming up with the American R&B band, they've managed to recreate the track with a fresh new sound but still keeping the true essence of the track intact. With the guys from Blackstreet redoing the vocals and not just a matter of Lucas & Steve sampling it from the original makes a huge difference to the sound and the speed of the flow. The duo have done an exceptional job and the beat gets you from the first drop, this track was meant to be launched last year as its first play was in Feb 2020 but like with many things, Covid put a hold to it. Now as most of Europe is opening up and with festivals making a come back, it was the perfect time to drop this banger. 

Monday Choon: Lucas & Steve x Brandy - I could be wrong (Club Mix)

There was a time where most DJ's were out to remix almost every 90's song they could find, some of them were good but most were really bad and the only reason they were doing it was to get some sort of recognition as people would think it's a familiar sound they were hearing but it really did them no service. Lucas & Steve seemed to have found a 90's RnB track by Brandy that they felt needed to be brought back and truth be told, it's damn good, while what they've done with their track is great, their Club Mix elevates it a lot. I heard the track first on Tiesto's Club Life show and it was one of those songs, that while you're listening to it, you know its a banger. 

Monday Choon: Sam Feldt X Lucas & Steve feat Wulf- Summer on You (Club Edit)

They say good things come in three's and that's one way to describe this song. Sam Feldt, the Dutch electronic producer teamed up with Lucas & Steve for this track featuring Wulf. The original it self is quite a good song with the whole new tropical house vibe but the club edit just makes it had more better. Released in July, this song has been banging on clubs and events speakers all over Europe and the US and now with summer heading to our shores, it's sure to get some decent airplay in the Southern Hemisphere.
