Monday Choon: XIRA - Feel (J Ribbon Remix)

 

The unmistakable voice of XIRA encapsulated me when I first heard her on 3LAU's hit track "Tokyo", she returns to the blog with a track of her own titled "Feel" and its everything that you'd expect and more. The track has been remixed by J Ribbon and is featured on the Anjunabeats Volume 17. A song that hits your heart right away, a feel good track with a catchy beat and chorus and one that will have you press repeat over and over again. 

Monday Choon: Vanco - Ma Tnsani (feat. Aya) [Tiësto Remix]

 

What is undoubtedly one of the biggest tracks for this years European summer, "Ma Tnsani by South African DJ and producer Vanco who is known for his eclectic style and powerful baselines has been remixed by the Trance legend himself, Tiesto. Now, if you are as shocked as I am to find out this song is by a South African, given how popular its gotten on the internet, mainly thanks to Tik Tok and you know how patriotic us South Africans can get, so it's even more reason to turn up the volume on this banger. 

 

Monday Choon: BT - Flaming June (PARAFRAME Remix)

 

BT is one of those cult DJ's in the industry that has a tendency to produce some epic bangers every now and then, his track Flaming June was one of them when it came out in 1997 and there has been various remixes and revivals of the track ever since, many of which don't hit that praise the track richly deserves. But there does come the odd occasion like today, where Frankfurt based DJ and producer PARAFRAME has taken the track and given it an epic revival which his remix of Flaming June. It's been featured on a few podcasts, most prominently ABGT and deservedly so, turn the volume up for this one. 

Monday Choon: Arty - Lost In Loving You (Mattilo Remix)

Russian Trance Music DJ and Producer Arty is no stranger to the blog, with countless number of his previous hits having featured, this time its a remix of one his tracks "Lost In Loving You". Written during an inspiring studio session in the heart of London, ‘Lost In Loving You’ sees ARTY connect his signature sonics to the equally irresistible vocal allure of Louis III. Upbeat, rousing and channeling ARTY’s trademark progressive house sound, and now it's been revved up a notch by Mattilo. After being dropped by Universal Music when he was just 16, Mattilo found new rise to fame via the social media app, Tik Tok. His work on remixing this track speaks for itself and lets hope he continues with this upward trend. 

Monday Choon: Nicky Romero x Vikkstar x Alpharock x Oaks - Where Do I Go (Rameses B Remix)

 

Following the success of the track "Where Do I Go" by Dutch DJ and producer Nicky Romero, Vikkistar and Alpharock last year comes the remixes of that track, one of them is by Leeds based DJ Rameses B, which gives the track a new dimension with a modern day drum and bass feel with it. It still keeps the high energy essence of the track but with a deeper rhythm. It's my pick from the remixes so far so turn it up and enjoy. 

   

Monday Choon: Andrew Rayel pres. ARISEY - Dudadu (Remix)

 

Andrew Rayel debuts his new alias ARISEY with "Dudadu," a vibrant rework of Irina Rimes's pop-ethno folk hit that has captivated the electronic dance music scene. Blending the emotive essence of the original with driving techno beats and melodic electronic layers, ARISEY delivers a fresh and dynamic sound. This release marks an exciting evolution in Rayel’s artistry, introducing fans to a bold and innovative direction under the ARISEY moniker.

Monday Choon: Modjo - Lady Hear Me Tonight (Slashy Disco Remix)

 

The 2000's hit song by French DJ and producer Modjo has been given a groovy rejuvenation by a DJ named Slashy Disco. His music is Disco and Soul influenced and this track fitted the criteria for him. He's respected the tracks original sound which I appreciate but gave it that soulful groovy vibe that still keeps the main ethos of the track alive in its entirety. It's something groovy to get your Monday going. 

Monday Choon: Sander van Doorn - Ori Tali Ma (BLR remix)

 

Hard to believe that it has been already 8 years since Dutch DJ Sander van Doorn dropped his instant classic Ori Tali Ma. It become an infectious festival hit with various artists playing it in their sets, be it in major dance festivals, psy trance, techno or just general clubs. The fusion of the the cool African chants became a highlight for many with its heavy kicks and rich percussion. It was unique and echoed a start in the tribal techno scene. Last week Hungarian DJ and producer Vincze Gergely, aka BLR dropped his remix of this cult track and boy has it reignited all those feels from the time the original came out. Vinceze has brought it up to the speed with modern sounds as he's sped the track up with a faster bassline, more kicks and some great techno synths to keep the track true to its original state. It's bound to be another festival banger and I'm sure it was dropped a lot over the past week at Tomorrowland Winter and Ultra Miami. 

Monday Choon: Tiësto feat Nicola Hitchcock - In My Memory (Maor Levi Starlight Mix)

 

Tiesto released his track "In My Memory" which featured Nicola Hitchcock just over 12 years ago, the melodic trance track was one of his lesser played tracks but still hit all the right notes. Fast forward to 2023 and Isreali DJ and Producer Maor Levi has given it a fresh new lease of life with his Starlight Remix completely transforming it have an 80's disco groovy vibe to it. It's the perfect track to enjoy our Southern Hemisphere Sunday Sundowners too, with its chilled but vibey beat which has an uplifting note to it. 

Monday Choon: John Summit & Hayla - Where You Are (Gorgon City Remix)

 

Chicago's John Summit's track "Where You Are" has already been rocketing up the charts since its release 3 months ago. Apart from that, it's been one of the biggest festival tunes over the summer with many big name artists dropping it in their sets from Europe to the USA. British music producing duo Gorgon City decided to take the track and put their own unique spin to it, coming up with something spectacular in the process. The track takes on that British underground sound from the start with a deep bass line line and subtle vocal with synths leading to the build up of that heavy bass trigger that leads to the main vocals of the original track. The remix is a banger of note with it receiving great reviews in the past week its been out. Definitely a future club banger and released right in time for Ibiza season. 

Monday Choon: Nourey & FOSTER - Meant To Be (Jaytech Remix)

 

Nourey, one of the rising stars under the Anjunabeats label first picked up a guitar at 10 years old and that is when her love affair with music started, since then the Egpytian born artist who now calls Boston her home turned to music production, releasing music under the Rising Sun and AVA labels before being signed to Anjuna. She released her first EP on the label last year, titled "Meant to be" and the 5 tracks garnered quite some interest in the music world, which featured the track Meant to be featuring vocals from Las Vegas based FOSTER. The track, recently got the Jaytech Remix treatment and was released at the end of April. It's added a nice fast pace rhythm to track with extra beats and synths to hype up the BPM and give the song a great dimension. It's been on my playlist repeat list for the last two weeks so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. 

Monday Choon: JODA - We Find Ourselves (Jono Grant’s Stadium Mix)

2022 was a big year for Jono Grant and Darren Tate, aka JODA. Grant is one-third of Above & Beyond who, throughout a two-decade career, have established themselves as one of the biggest electronic groups in the world. In 2019, Above & Beyond received an offer to score an environmental documentary, ‘The Last Glaciers’. He enlisted classically trained musician, songwriter, producer, hitmaker and close friend Darren Tate, and the duo got stuck into composing together. It became a dream project all around – not least because it sparked further ideas. JODA was born. Working in Tate’s studio in suburban north London, and A&B’s south London HQ, the pair were in a creative bubble during the early days of the pandemic. And the partnership proved fruitful. Their self-titled album ‘JODA’, celebrating the musical influences that Jono and Darren grew up with, was released on Anjunabeats in August 2022 – to a rapturous reception from the Anjunafamily and beyond. 

'We Find Ourselves' was released in April 2022 as the lead single from the JODA project, featuring Jono on vocals. His 'Stadium Mix' was premiered at Above & Beyond’s sold-out Group Therapy 500 celebrations in Los Angeles last October.

Monday Coon: Nina Simone - Sinnerman (KREAM Remix)

 

Who can forget the 1962 classic from Nina Simone "Sinnerman", over the years this track has been remixed and reworked into a number trance and house tracks and in 2023, the brothers Daniel and Markus Slettebakken, better known as KREAM have released their remix of it. Its a track that I'm a big fan off, I first heard on the sound track of the movie 'Cellular' but to have it remixed by one of my favourite DJ duo's makes it that much more special. The Norwegians add their unique sound to an already iconic sound track but still keep the essence of track and most importantly, showcase the vocals of Nina. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Monday Choon: David Guetta vs Benny Benassi - Satisfaction

 

French DJ David Guetta has been spoiling us since 2020 with his latest genre "Future Rave", its a fresh new take on electronic music from him and to be honest, I quite like it. It's build ups are great with high energy drops that instantly gets your blood pressure going. If you watched the sets from Ultra Europe and Tomorrowland, then you, like me have been probably waiting in anticipation for the release of todays featured track. David has taken Italian DJ legend, Benny Benassi's cult classic track "Satisfaction" and given it his future rave treatment and boy is it a banger of note! Played by most DJ's including the likes of Armin, Nicky Romero, Tiesto and others at the various festivals around Europe, it definitely got the crowds going wild. The track was officially released last week Friday on Spinnin' Records and we have it here on the blog for you to enjoy.

Monday Choon: Andain - Promises ( Myon Summer of Love Reboot)

Probably one of my all time favourite trance songs has just gotten a reboot by the same person who did the original remix that got me to love the song in the first place! "Promises" by Andain is a cult classic of note with many big name artist having played it in the yesteryear of its release. Myon then came along and did a remix which just breathed new life in the track and elevated it to another level with a faster BPM during a time which trance energy was making a strong showing in clubs around the world. Fast forward 11 years and the Hungarian DJ and producer has done it again, with a reboot of his Summer of Love remix of the track, it's wrong to say it's better than the previous but rather a great new reboot of the track and one that's sure to ignite many memories for trance lovers like myself. 

Monday Choon: Above & Beyond - Can’t Sleep [Ruben de Ronde & Elevven Remix]

 

Returning after a three year hiatus, Anjunabets World returns with the tenth edition of the fan-favourite mixed album series. Following in the footsteps of Anjuna superstars Mat Zo, ARTY, ilan Bluestone and Grum, the tenth instalment in the legendary Anjunabeats Worldwide compilation series leads you to the darkest of dance floors; an underground techno and trance trip courtesy of US-based duo Fatum. Today's chosen track from the album is the remix of a Above & Beyond's track "Can't Sleep" by Ruben de Ronde & Elevven. It takes an already great track and just elevates it with their trance notes and higher BPM. Just the kind of track you need to kick start the week. 

Monday Choon: Audien ft Xira - One Last Dance (Farius Remix)

American DJ Nate Rathbun better known as Audien has been a popular name on the Above and Beyond sets as well as Armada tracklists, his music is the kind of uplifting trance you love to hear first thing in the morning as it ignites that energy deep within, in Feb this year he released his track "One Last Dance" which features the vocals of Xira, a bit of a soppy love song type of track but a banger none the less, last week a host of remixes for the track were released and one of my favourites was by UK based DJ Farius. It's a great edit of the original track and just added that extra oomf that was missing. It gives the track a nice tempo which was lacking from the original and can almost make it a club track. I think its brilliant and you should have a listen to it, so turn up the volume and enjoy.

Monday Choon: Karen Overton - Your Loving Arms (ALPHA 9 Remix)

British singer Karen Overton probably didn't realise what a hit song she would be recording back in 1995 when "Your Loving Arms" was released. Since then, the track was remixed in 2007 and released on Armada Music, it caught the attention of many and the vocals sync'd so well to the electronic music genre. Fast-forward to present day, Russian DJ and producer Alpha 9, better known by his other name Arty has decided to dust off this track and give it another lease of life with his own remix. I've always loved Arty, ever since listening to his sets from ASOT 500 I knew this guy was special and his brand of music really struck a chord with me, he has been releasing a lot of music on his alias name Alpha 9 of late and when the music is this good, we can only ask for more. So turn up the volume and enjoy this extremely special song. 

Monday Choon: Myon feat. Alissa Feudo - Moon (Myon Hard Club Mix)

 

I'll be honest, I didn't even listen to the song before writing this post but such is the nature of the tracks when these two artist combine their talents. There's just something special between Myon and Alissa Feudo and no one can deny that anything they create is just magic. Today's featured track "Moon" was released at the beginning of the month but the original, while great in its own right, is a mellow track so Myon decided to create a hard club mix of the track and wow, it is just fantastic. It harks back to some of their other works like Omen in the Rain and Darkest Light. Alissa's vocals will again have you captivated in her melodic charms while the melodic beats from Myon makes the entire experience wholesome. It's a fantastic track by the pair and its' already achieved some great success around the web, so you will be hearing this track a lot in the up coming European party season. 

Monday Choon: Kasablanca - Synthetic Blues (Matt Fax Remix)

 

Musical Group Kasablanca recently did a rework on the Moby track "Natural Blues" a while back, the track itself was a sensation and one that brought back memories of electronic music from that decade. Like the original the song was set at a rather slow beat so in came Matt Fax to up the anti a bit with his remix of the song "Synthetic Blues". The pace is definitely increased in the track with a great beat update which works well with the melody as well as the vocals. It's a great track whether you liked the original or not as it offers something different to what is being released at the moment.  I quite enjoyed this one, here's hoping you do to.
