Monday Choon: Martin Garrix & U2 - Fireflies

Martin Garrix's "Fireflies" with U2 is a collaboration that feels both natural and refreshing, blending Garrix's cinematic electronic production with U2's unmistakable stadium-rock identity. Bono's soaring vocals and The Edge's signature guitar work are perfectly complemented by Garrix's polished, atmospheric sound, creating a track that is both emotionally uplifting and festival-ready. Rather than competing for the spotlight, the two artists build on each other's strengths, resulting in a powerful anthem that showcases the remarkable synergy between one of dance music's biggest producers and one of rock's most iconic bands.

Monday Choon: HUGEL - Movin' To The Sun

In the current age of social media it is hard to ignore the trends, and kudos to apps like TikTok who do wonders for artists that we don't really know of because when a trend goes viral with a track, best believe everyone in the world will know you and your song. HUGEL however isn't an unknown artist but has had several of his tracks go viral on TikTok and what seems to happen is that people will then use the same tracks on their IG videos, I like to call this a cross pollination of trends. HUGEL's latest offering "Movin' to the Sun" is all over my TikTok feeds and some dubbing it the song of the summer, I still think Axwell's track which we featured last week has it beat but that is not for me to decided. Movin' to the Sun is still a banging track, the vocals and the drop sync so well you can't help but vibe to it.

Monday Choon: Axwell ft. Bonn - Whatever Turns You On

Axwell's latest release, "Whatever Turns You On" featuring Bonn, is everything you'd expect from the Swedish icon. It blends his signature melodic progressive house sound with that unmistakable Swedish House Mafia energy, delivering a track that's both euphoric and emotionally charged. It's easily become my favourite song of the moment and has been on repeat all weekend since dropping on Friday. Judging by the traction it's already gaining on TikTok, this one looks set to be one of the standout dance anthems of the year.

Monday Choon: ARTBAT - Dance

Ukrainian DJ and music producer duo ARTBAT who are mainly known for their kick ass remixes to already hot tunes have been around for a while, giving us their unique blend of melodic house and techno fusion which has taken to many over the last few years. Their remix of We Are The People of Empire of the Sun still remains one of my favourites to this day. "Dance" which is their latest offering was released on Friday last week so its hot off the press is a continuation of their techno/ house fusion and has a really upbeat and catchy bassline to go with it. It's already been gathering quite a few fans from their sets over the pass month so we're glad they dropped it this early.

Monday Choon: Vanco - Ma Tnsani (feat. Aya) [Tiësto Remix]

What is undoubtedly one of the biggest tracks for this years European summer, "Ma Tnsani by South African DJ and producer Vanco who is known for his eclectic style and powerful baselines has been remixed by the Trance legend himself, Tiesto. Now, if you are as shocked as I am to find out this song is by a South African, given how popular its gotten on the internet, mainly thanks to Tik Tok and you know how patriotic us South Africans can get, so it's even more reason to turn up the volume on this banger.

Monday Choon: Alesso, Sentinel, Sick Individuals - Upside Down

Many say he should have been the fourth member of the Swedish House Mafia but, for me, Alesso brings a different dynamic to house music and while he may hail from Sweden as well, he has managed to build his own legacy in the electronic music industry, so much so that he is one of the most requested DJ's for major festivals. His remix of Nadia Ali's pressure still remains one of my all time favourite songs, today's featured track from Alesso has been featured on a number of his sets at festivals over the past year, and it's finally been released. "Upside Down" see's him team up with Sentinel and Sick Individuals, and they have produced a banger that has already had crowds at festivals off their feet, so you know its good.

The release comes on the heels of a hugely successful 2024 for D.O.D, a year defined by sold-out tours across the U.K., North America, and Australia, as well as the chart-topping success of 'Somedays' with Sonny Fodera and Jazzy. The song is very similar to his UK counterparts like MK and Sonny, and definitely geared up for the festivals.

Monday Choon: Avenue One & Jaren - My Way Home

Progressive house duo Avenue One join forces with celebrated songwriter and vocalist Jaren on ‘My Way Home’. Originating from Canada and the Czech Republic, Avenue One is the brainchild of Matt Cerf and Petr LeÅ”ko; two producers that united through a shared love for music and their deep-seated connections in the electronic scene.Matt and talented vocalist Jaren previously released trance staple ‘Man On The Run’ with Dash Berlin in 2009, under their earlier group alias Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren; a widely renowned track with millions of streams to date. Matt and Petr first joined forces in 2012. They made their Anjunabeats debut in 2022 on our Rising EP series with ‘Upstairs Terrace’, which featured in the Anjunabeats Volume 16 compilation, before releasing their debut album ‘Outside My Door’ later that year. Following on from Avenue One's recent single ‘Days & Nights’, which has amassed over 250K streams and gained support from GrigorĆ©, Paul Oakenfold, Giuseppe Ottaviani and more, ‘My Way Home’ is a progressive anthem with a hard-hitting bassline and mesmerising vocals.

Monday Choon: KREAM & Millean. - What You've Done To Me ft. Bemendé (Drumsheds Version)

I don't think the duo Norwegian brothers KREAM have produced a track I haven't taken a liking too, no seriously, if you're a fan of their Liquid Lab sets, you will know exactly what I'm talking about. The energy they bring to their music is just next level, that gets you hooked in from the start to the end. Their style is unique but unmistakably theirs and theirs only. Their hit track "What You've Done To Me" has been a favourite of mine for a long time and now they've just dropped an exclusive remix of it which they debuted at the Drumsheds. This version has just elevated the track to levels that is dark room festival worthy with a more kick ass bassline and synths. Such a banger to start the week off.

Monday Choon: Andrew Bayer & Oliver Smith - Rude Boyz

Grammy nominated DJ and producer Andrew Bayer teams up with British DJ Oliver Smith for today's featured track. The two have been releasing fire tracks for over a decade on Anjunabeats with both having similar trance and progressive house styles. Being close friends, it has taken some time for these two to compile a song together and it's everything that we expected it to be and more. Following the success of of his studio album "Duality" last year, Andrew has been on a bit of lul this year, while Oliver kicked off the year with his release of "Everything" where he teamed up with Tom Bailey and was featured on Anjunabeats Worldwide 11. Rude Boyz brings in that progressive house style with a hint of old school UK Garage with some great techno and trance beats. It's been a firm favourite of mine for the past few days and definitely one to get the energy up for the week.

Monday Choon: KREAM - So Hï

Norwegian DJ's and Record producers KREAM have been busy in the studio working on new sounds and beats for us and we're starting to see and hear their masterpieces as they being released. So Hi which follows the release of their previous single, Arrakis is much more techno sounding track with high synths and a deep base line. The vocals play a pivotal role in the track like most of their productions, this time contributed by Nicholas Neubert. The track is a catchy energising track that gets you going from the first second.

Monday Choon: Martin Garrix & DubVision - Empty (feat. Jaimes)

Dutch DJ and Producer Martin Garrix has a knack of playing tracks on his sets, the tracks becoming popular but releases them further down the line with a set of vocals on it. His latest offering is no different with the song featured today. "Empty" was first heard at Ultra Miami last year and played in mash up with his track Ocean featuring Khaled but since then he has played it every set, including his mammoth 3 hour set in Amsterdam late last year. The track was official released in the second week of March and is a collaboration with DJ duo DubVision and features the vocals of Jaimes. The track is very much the Progressive type house music we've come to know and love from Martin, its the type of music that uplifts and gets people moving which is why his sets are often the most sort after at large music festivals. With Ultra Miami happening this weekend, we're pretty sure we will hear this banger along with many others from him during his set.

Monday Choon: John Summit & Hayla - Shiver

John Walter Schuster, better known by his stage name John Summit is an American DJ, producer and remixer burst onto the scenes couple years ago with his track "Human", since then he's been a regular on the EDM scene especially in the US and later on teaming up with some of the top up and coming people in the industry, his bromance with Dom Dolla has been well documented in their socials last year and its great to see. Last year John had another hit released when he teamed up with Hayla for "Where Are You", a track that did tremendously well on the charts and had a host of remixes and mash-ups. This year he teams up again with Liverpool based singer Hayla for their latest production, Shiver. The track has that edgy and catchy sound that is becoming their signature and a song that will suck you in from the first time you listen to it. The gradual build up with the vocals and the gentle back track is the perfect levels for listening or partying. It's a certified banger for sure.

Monday Choon: Swedish House Mafia - Ray of Solar

The Swedish trio have been playing to packed out crowds across the US and Europe in the past few months all whilst teasing the release of their latest track "Ray of Solar".  Finally after weeks of sneak peeks, the track is finally out and it certainly delivers in true SHM style! The track takes you on a nostalgic journey of the past, present and what we can expect in the future from them. The levels to the track is amazing with the layers of different electronic sounds, coupled with that invigorating bass line just provides momentum for it as it goes along. It definitely has the hardcore SHM excited and with good reason, lets hope this is just a taste of more to come.

Monday Choon: Genix & Dosem - Day City

Following the success of his Warehouse55 EP last year, Genix has just dropped volume 2 of it last week and one of the first tracks that has gotten lots of attention has been Day City in which he teams up with Spanish record producer, Martin Ramirez better known by his stage name Dosem. I first heard that track when Above & Beyond dropped it at their set in Printworks London the other week and its been stuck in my head since as its a proper banger.

‘Warehouse55 (Volume 2)’ features two collaborative tracks with Dosem. A regular on Anjunadeep, Dosem’s penchant for pumping melodic and progressive house has seen him supported by the likes of Tale Of Us, Maceo Plex, Hot Since 82, Gorgon City, Vintage Culture, Yotto and more. The Spanish DJ and producer is well-accustomed to releasing tracks that ignite melodic house and techno charts worldwide, including a collaboration with Tinlicker, 'Hypnotised', the three-track 'Time After Time EP', and his club edit of William Orbit's 'Starbeam', all released on Anjunadeep.

I’m so happy to have teamed up with Dosem, I’ve been a huge fan of his music for years. I think our styles worked together perfectly on the collabs. We both love those 90’s rave vibes and we wanted to add that to these productions.” - Genix
