We're keeping it really local in May as this months lass hails from the warm shores of the East Coast. She is a go-getter, entrepreneur and business woman. She's achieved a lot in her short existence and has big plans for her business and career going forward.

1. Hot girls and hot cars go hand in hand, what ride would you like to  see yourself in?

• That's true, I would like to see myself in the limited edition Bugatti Veyron by Mansory Vibere (I like them fast).

2. What sandwich are you most likely to make for me? and will it be toasted or plain?

• I'm most likely not going to make you a sandwich, I'd rather treat you at your favorite restaurant. 

3. Everyone loves popcorn (well I think they do) what is your topping/ sprinkle of choice?

• That's an easy one, salt and vinegar for the wine every single time!

4. Dream cover shoot?

• Sports Illustrated.

5. If given a choice, full time model or full time executive, what would you choose?

• Full time executive, I like being a boss babe.

6. Growing up you must have had someone you aspired to be, so who is your role model?

• Both of my parents came from absolutely nothing and both became self made millionaires in their own right. I aspire to be like them .

7. Anyone holding that hand yet? or is it available?

• I have a boyfriend, he's a professional rugby player. I love a strong athlete.

8. Obviously being a female you would love fashion. Favourite label/ designer?

• I am obsessed with Dolce & Gabbana, they set the trends and other designers follow suit. D&G define the luxury lifestyle of fashion and I hope to do with same with my swimwear.

9. What type of music gets your booty shaking?

• I love hip hop, rap and R&B. I can be quite gangster (LOL I wish).

10. Which city is your dream party destination?

• I'm a huge party girl so I would definitely want to go to Ibiza or Las Vegas (cliche I know!)

Bucket Babe: Kerryn Du Rand

It's been a long hard month but we've made it out of July alive and survived the worst of the winter! It's all downhill from now till summer, and no better way to defrost from the icy chill than with another stunner from our beautiful country. Today's feature model hails from the Kingdom of the Zulu but currently plies her trade in the Western Cape and around the world. I first met this gorgeous specimen of the human race a year ago and was taken back by her natural beauty, she's a person of many talents and loves to live life to the fullest.

I am adventurer and an eternal optimist; passionate about life and everything it has to offer. Originally from Durban, I am now based in Cape Town and am in love with every aspect of this city. I have a degree in Communications but have been lucky enough to have spent majority of my adult life making money as a model.

I am pursuing a career in Real Estate and am working as an agent for Jawitz Properties on the Atlantic Seaboard. I have lived and worked in many countries and love to travel. I spend most of my free time on the beach and love art, baking and anyone who makes me laugh. I love the simple things in life, believe in the little things and never take myself too seriously.

1. Hot girls and hot cars go hand in hand, what ride would you like to see yourself in?

• I love a car with character over anything too flash. An American Muscle Car would be an absolute dream.

2. What sandwich are you most likely to make for me? and will it be toasted or plain?

• It's gonna be healthy with a touch of naughty, so like a Mexican chicken on toasted rye with grilled mozzarella, topped with avo, sour cream and chives.

3. Everyone loves popcorn (well I think they do) what is your topping/ sprinkle of choice?

• I die for that sweet/salty combo... I don't even buy it anymore as I have zero self control when it comes to that stuff. 

4. Dream cover shoot?

• Sports Illustrated Swimsuit International of course. 

5. If given a choice, full time model or full time executive, what would you choose?

• I've been down the full time model road, and while the freedom and travel is amazing, it's much harder than anyone realizes. Full time exec all the way!

6. Growing up you must have had someone you aspired to be, so who is your role model?

• My incredible mama.

7. Anyone holding that hand yet? or is it available?

• Someone has been holding this hand (and booty) for quite some time now :)

8. Obviously being a female you would love fashion. Favourite label/ designer?

• Elie Saab - those feminine silhouettes!

9. What type of music gets your booty shaking?

• I'm a rock n roll girl through and through but I do love some hip hop on the side.

10. Which city is your dream party destination?

• I'm not much of a party girl so lets say dream destination... undiscovered tropical beaches are my idea of paradise.

Face of Maserati 2015 - Genevieve Morton

We South Africans are an extremely patriotic bunch and love to celebrate our successes, whether it be on the sporting front,  innovation or personal front, if there's a link back to South Africa we're behind it....besides Xenophobia, we don't like that shit. There's many South Africans that have done well for themselves abroad,  most recently Trevor Noah was announced as the new host for the Daily Show, relatively unknown across the broader USA, even though he's had sellout performances in that country, he has done damn well and we are proud of his accomplishment as a country.

This week another South African has impressed on the international stage, local blonde bombshell Genevieve Morton was announced as the official face of Maserati for 2015. The Italian luxury sports vehicle manufacturer chose the Benoni born Genevieve to be the global face of their new range of vehicles. Needless to say Gen needs no introduction,  born in Benoni, raised on the east coast just outside Durban,  she was basically born to be in a bikini. She sky rocketed to fame in the local publications, FHM and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition but was later picked up and featured in the international Sports Illustrated magazine of which she's been featured for the past 6 years! This year's issue featured a body paint segment in which she was undoubtedly the star.

It's great that Maserati have picked up on her talents, that golden blonde hair and sparkly blue eyes makes her instantly attractive to anyone and her bubbly personality is an added bonus. She is one the main reasons I have instagram and Snapchat at the moment and if I could get periscope I would! The ad campaign sees her in a number of different scenes with the various models from their stable, most significant would be her in the vintage race car wearing the full racing suit. It's different from what we've become used to seeing her in but at the same time beautiful and elegant. Like I said from the start, we as South Africans love to see us achieve big things in this world and celebrating our successes is what makes us great as a country, we might be this small blip at the bottom of the continent but we sure now how to make ourselves noticeable.

Bucket Babe: Kirsten Wilson

The year is flying by and they next thing you know shops will be putting up chirstmas decorations! But before the madness begins, we should try to slow things down and enjoy the finer things that life has to offer us, for example, today's Bucket Babe. The beauty with golen blonde locks hails from Durban, KZN, quite fitting as our endless coast line is a prime environment for her in a bikini. She models part time and works full time which has her travelling a lot between countries but she still finds time to chill with her friends and party the night away.

SI Swimsuit 2014

It's probably the most anticipated issue of the Sports Illustrated magazine and with good reason to. Every year guys and girls (I think they actually look at the swimwear) look forward to the swimsuit edition, to see the bevy of beauty's beauties from around the world, photographed in the most exotic locations, wearing the sexiest of swimwear...well in some of the pictures, they aren't wearing anything at all! It's all done in good taste and that's what makes this issue so popular. Like I said they use girls not only from the USA but around the world. South Africa has had it's fair share of features, from Dominique Piek, Genevieve Morton and making her debut last year,Natasha Barnard. This years issues sees another South African stunner crack the rookie list in Lauren Mellor.

This years issue see's Genevieve make her appearance for the 5th time. The B4 - Benoni born blonde bombshell, made her first appearance back in 2010 as a rookie and has since featured in every years issue since. Success seems to follow her where ever she goes and I'm glad because she deserves every bit of it! My good F1 and Golf twitter compadre was born and raised in Witbank Mpumalanga, a proper boere meisie turned superstar. She made a move to Cape Town where she did embark on some modelling but her big break came when she was crowned the face of Wonderbra SA. From there she went on to model for Guess international and thereafter made her debut for Sports Illustrated International in 2013. Her side hobby besides watching F1 and Golf, is wildlife photography, she's got an eye for it and most, if not all her images are truly amazing. It shows that even though she's making it big time in the USA, her heart is still in South Africa.

Rookie of the year: VOTE HERE

I'll be honest, I didn't even know the Johannesburg born Mellor was featured this year until Genevieve pointed it out to me last week. Lauren appeared in many local publications such as Top Billing Magazine and FHM before moving to Germany where her career took off. She did a lot of shoots for retail outlets in Europe and England before getting her break as a rookie in this years Swimsuit 2014 issue. She's one of the few that have posed bare in body paint and is in the running for Rookie of the year. So get your votes in for her!
