Monday Choon: Gareth Emery - I Saw Your Face (Alex Sonata & TheRio Remix)

British DJ Gareth Emery has been busy during lockdown making new music and most of them have been fire! Today's track is one of them and is off his latest album, The Lasers. It has received remix treatment from Alex Sonata and Therio. The track itself has the classic Gareth Emery trademark sounds with a heavy piano and hard-style techo vibe, but Alex and Therio have upped the BPM but also given the track the mellow periods it deserves. There a few remixes for this track but this one is my pick from the bunch as I feel it just hits right and doesn't even feel like its a remix but rather an original. Go ahead and give it a listen and let me know your thoughts on the Instagram page.

Monday Choon: Gareth Emery & Standerwick - Saving Light (feat. HALIENE)

If you're a trance addict or just a fan of Gareth Emery, then you would know the painstaking wait for the official release of this track. Debuted last year in June, Saving Light had many asking who made this song? what is it called? when will it be released? Well we soon found out that it was a track by Gareth Emery and Standerwick. Months went on with no official release date up and until early January when the English DJ notified his fans that the track would be released on the 27th of January along with the official music video. The song is a another fine production by Emery, seriously good trance vibes and something that has been lacking for some time in the industry, Standerwick adds his own uniqueness to the track and the vocals just ices the cake for me. The music video is brilliant as well, highlighting the importance of bullying which is affecting a lot of kids out there. Overall, Saving Light was definitely worth the long wait!

Monday Choon: CVNT5- CVNT5

Gareth Emery and Ashley Wallbridge must have been sipping on some good juice when they came up with this idea. CVNT5 or...C*nts is their self title debut track as the two of them have combined their talents in an interesting duo. I wasn't sure if I should have taken this track seriously after watching the official music video but the track is really hot and they've just released a second song featuring DJ Khaled. Whatever they're up to, I like it as it's a light hearted fun pointed at the current EDM/ Trance industry but both are legends in their own right so they have every right to do so, either way lets hope for more great music in this collaboration.

Monday Choon: Speed Limits - A380

Now I know what you're thinking, but this song has nothing to do with the plane thats manufactured by Airbus. Infact, the artist responsible for this track aren't even from France. Speed Limits consists of a Norwegian/ Italian, trance/ progressive duo Espen & Matteo. Their music is relatively unkown but garners support from some of the big boys in the industry, one of them being Armin van Buuren. I heard this song on a Gareth Emery podcast and was blown away, the sample they used was very familiar to me and I must admit took me a while to figure out where they got it from. After 2 hours of head scratching I realised it's from Tiesto's single with Kyler England "Take Me".  I love that song so automactially love this one as well!

Monday Choon: Gareth Emery feat. Krewella - Lights & Thunder (Club Mix)

It seems like ages since we last heard from Gareth Emery, Concrete Angel was the last single of his that made it big in the charts but this time round sees him team up with a group that seems to cannot do any wrong at the moment. Krewella are fast becoming a big name in EDM and if they are still doubters out there, then they're just lying to themselves. With UMF around the corner they are sure to be considered one of the headline acts for the festival. This track was just released today but has been played on various radio podcasts, its sure to be another chart topper, enjoy!

Monday Choon: Gareth Emery - Concrete Angel

So Ultra Music Festival wasnt a long while ago and for me one of the best sets from the event had to be Gareth Emery's. It also fell part of ASOT 550 and one of the most popular songs was Concrete Angel. Some say the song is a bit too "commercial" but I dont think it is compared to what David Guetta has been doing the past 3 years. You listen and decide.
