Monday Choon: Arty & Mat Zo - Rebound (Jason Ross Remix)

 

We're still reminiscing about Above & Beyond's ABGT450 set at the Drum Sheds in London, it was so good to see trance music making a come back at an event of such. After the past year of uncertainty, a sense of normality was felt even as we watched the live stream from the comfort of our homes. Anyway, the set by the British trio included some stand out tracks but none that hit home for me quite like today's featured track. Its a remix of Arty and Mat Zo's 2011 track Rebound, done by America DJ and producer Jason Ross. It was just awesome to hear that melodic tune of Rebound again but what Jason has done with the remix is truly special, its given it a new lease of life and really uplifted the sounds to make it more up to speed to what we're hearing today, The track is still not officially released as yet but Arty has been kind enough to share it on his YouTube channel so we thought we'd share it too. It's a perfect track to get your week started and I can't think of a better way to start my Monday than listening to this track myself, so enjoy!

Monday Choon: Mat Zo - Colours

 

British DJ Mat Zo has a knack of coming up with trance tracks that are a bit different from the norm, it's hard to pinpoint his exact sound because of his experimentations whether from his tracks or remixes but regardless they all damn good. This week's featured track from Mat is titled "Colours" released under the Anjunabeats label, it also takes a slight deviation from the uplifting trance beats and has more of a 90s pop techno sound, similar to his previous track "Love Songs". The underlying beat and baseline is a great groovy catchy one that gets to you from the start of the song and with the multiple build ups, it just gets better and better. It's another great release from Mat Zo and one I'll be replaying a lot for the next few weeks. 

Monday Choon: Mat Zo feat. GQ - The Next Chapter

The Monday after Ultra South Africa is mainly spent reminiscing the weekend that was and the music we heard. It was epic but more will be discussed in our Ultra recap later this week, for now it's time for some fresh music. While the guys from Anjunabeats were not present this year, we got some new music from their kitchen. Matan Zohar, better known as Mat Zo has some hot new tracks lined up for 2020 and this is one of them, The Next Chapter has been out for a few weeks now and it is deadly, with intense build-ups, massive drops with big bass lines. The perfect way to get your adrenaline pumping on a Monday.
