Dzeko & DJ D-Sol - Down On It ft. Kool & the Gang

Recently on the EDM scene there's been an influx of remakes, not just using the melodies classics of the past but basically using the exact song and adding some electronic elements here and there. It's been annoying me and if you ask me it's down right lazy of the artist. Today's track is a remake of one my all time classics by Kool and the Gang "Down On It" and while I just gave a whole lecture on why I don't appreciate remakes, Dzeko and DJ D-Sol actually made this track into something special. Kept the groove of that 80s classic but added elements to make it seem part of the time and not to future sounding. The respect they had for the song won me over by introducing retro electronic elements that just work so well. Perfect way to get that Monday groove going.

Monday Choon: Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman x Dzeko - The King

Swedish DJ and producers Dimitri Vangelis and Wyman team up with well known Canadian DJ Dzeko for this killer trance track titled "The King". Released on Tiesto's Musical Freedom records a few weeks ago, many can pick up quite a few Tiesto notes from is old school productions in the track. It's been a popular track on the scene and one the Dutch legend has used a lot in his live sets of recent. It's a catchy track that's quickly gained popularity even though it has only been released for a few weeks, it has been played for quite some time on the scene. The only difference is now we can enjoy it on our playlists.

Monday Choon: Tiesto & Dzeko - Halfway There ft. Lena Leon

I must admit, I was like an impatient kid waiting for this song to officially be released. I must have tweeted Tiesto a few times as well as left comments on his Instagram posts asking when he would release this track and its finally here! So whats so special about this track? Well, even though I am a massive fan of the legendary Dutch DJ, I have to admit that most of his latest stuff, while might have been tolerable wasn't what we knew him for. He was straying too mainstream to the brink I given up hope on him, that was until his set at Tomorrowland last year, he played this song after just 3 minutes and you knew immediately, Tijs was back! It isn't the legendary trance sounds that we were used to but was trance none the less, and it was perfect. I'm sorry I ever doubted you Tiesto, thank you for this track and please make more music like this!

Monday Choon: Tiesto & Dzeko ft.Preme & Post Malone - Jackie Chan

Tiesto has been one of the world's best DJ's of our life time now, he's continued to be at the top over the decades. He's done that by changing and adapting his style of music to suit what the trends dictate but at the same time not making it too commercial. Post Malone has been blowing up of recent and after remixing his track Congratulations, the two artists reached out to produce a track of their own. With the added expertise of Dzeko and Preme, the result is pretty great. The song has a great tune, and a fantastic mixture of rap and dance music, definitely a catchy feel good track!

Monday Choon: Post Malone - Congratulations ft. Quavo (Dzeko Remix)

Austin Richard Post, better known by his stage name as Post Malone recently released single "Congratulations" has received some treatment by Canadian based DJ and producer Dzeko. Not gonna lie, I had to Google who Post Malone was, pretty scruffy looking white rapper, won't be the next Slim but makes good music. The song which originally is a rap song from the popular American Rapper has some much needed up-tempo beat added to it as well as some extras. It's proven to be quite popular as well with a number of high profile DJ's dropping it in sets of recent, most notably Tiesto at EDC Las Vegas.
