Monday Choon: Tiesto - Beautiful Places

Beautiful Places is the second single released from Tiesto after his return to trance music, his first release "Bring Me to Life" was extremely well received from the fan base and gained many other fans thanks to it. His show at the Pyramids of Giza was incredible and this song featured so well with the amazing background of the world wonders. The song features the vocals of Brieanna Grace who add's so much character to the already great song. It has so many different levels and elements to the track that only Tiesto could bring together and make it work so well. It's one of my favourite tracks of the moment and I'm many others feel the same way.

Monday Choon: The Weeknd Vs Alesso & One Republic - Save Your Tears Vs If I Lose Myself (Djs From Mars Bootleg)

Mash-up's are great but what many don't realise the technical aspect behind them, listening to beats, waiting for drops, allowing for the perfect transitions of fusions takes skill and not many have this. It's quite different from remixes as the point of the remix is to alter the original sound of the song while mash-ups are taking two completely different tracks, merging them together and allowing for both of the tracks to play in harmony, not making it sound off or weird. DJ's from Mars have been doing Bootleg mash-ups for a while now and recently dropped todays featured track which includes the hit track "If I Lose Myself" Alesso and One Republic along with the Weeknd's "Save Your Tears". I heard it on Tiesto's Clublife podcast the other week and loved it so much that I just had to feature it on the blog. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Monday Choon: Milani & The Cabas - Pressure

I try to keep a balance of songs I feature on this segment on the weekly, while its mainly electronic...well only electronic music I want to try get as many of the various sub-genres on here. So that means listening to a lot of music, be it podcasts, YouTube and the likes. Sometimes I'll be scratching around the net for something because what I've heard so far isn't worthy enough to be posted but there are times I'll just listen to a song be like "that's the one", today's track is one of those that I just knew from the time the song started. Nari and Milani need no introduction with them being legends in the industry, they've teamed up with Swiss DJ duo The Cabas to bring us this amazing track titled "Pressure". The beats, the synths, the piano, just all work so well. It's soothing but has a great beat to it, added with the vocals on the build up add so much character to the track, the drop will have you shuffling in your chair. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do.

Monday Choon: CID & VINNE - Take Your Place

Grammy awarding winning DJ Carlos Cid better known as CID has teamed up with Vinne for his latest track "Take Your Place". It's a great mix of progressive and future house with lots of bass and high pitch transitions and synths. Perfect sort of track to give you a boost of adrenaline when you need it. The song is proving to be quite a hit as well, being played on various podcasts and DJ sets. It's released on Tiesto's Musical Freedom Label and published by the guys at Spinnin', definitely a banger track of note.

Monday Choon: Going Deeper - Explorer

Even though this genre has been around for the better part of 7 years now, Future House still remains relatively unknown but that's slowly changing with many of the big name producers and DJ's not only playing these tracks but also sampling it with their productions as well. What is Future House though? Well the Google meaning is, it's a fusion of Deep House (which has just blown over the past 2 years) and EDM (which is still a firm favourite for many), so in fusing these two already well supported genre's it could only make it more better right? Well at the moment Future House may not go down well with everyone but most of the fans are really enjoying it, I for one am as well. These week's track is by Goingdeeper, no that's not the name of the track, that is the name of the artist and the song is called "explorer", it was the opening track on Tiesto's Clublife 526 and I instantly took a liking to it.

Monday Choon: Ed Sheeran - Shape of You (Jack Wins Remix)

His album was just released over a week ago and has already hit record sales, he's probably one of the biggest artists at the moment and one of the greatest song writers. He wrote the original song for Rihanna but after sitting with his management, they advised that he use the song for himself. After going back and changing it to suit him, the song was released and his management proved him wrong. Shape of you has since hit highs in all the major charts and has since received a fair bit of remix treatments, none come close to the Jack Wins Remix though, and we got it for you this week!

Monday Choon: Tiesto & Mike Williams - I Want You

The great thing about legends in the industry like Tiesto and Armin is that they promote new talent coming into the industry and more often than not team up with them. Take today's track for instance, Mike Williams is a relatively new kid on the block from the Netherlands, if I had to tell you he toured SA last Decemeber, bet many of you wouldn't have known that? Yup, he was brought down by the G&G Entertainment team for Rage and now the kid is shooting up to all kinds of stardom with his collaboration with Tiesto on the track "I Want You". The song is a cracker and Tiesto has been dropping it all over the world in his sets, from Monaco, Tomorrowland and his residencey in Vegas. It's a banger of note and the official music video was just released on Friday so we got the full package for you today!

Monday Choon: Vivid - Rush

This weeks featured artist is big in Japan, no seriously, DJ Vivid has been dominating Tokyo's EDM scene for the better part of a decade now and is ready to take his talents all across Asia and the world. He's already has had success in South Korea with him securing residencies in some of the countries hottest night clubs. The track "Rush" which is featured today, is one of his latest which has bigger build ups and ven bigger drops, which is what the song will be remembered for. Take a listen and see why it's become a firm favourite of mine.
